We found this cosy, friendly restaurant by accident. The food was very good, just the right heat level for our taste, and you can hot it up with hot sauce, the restaurant's own. We sat inside because it was cool and rainy, but there is a great deck overlooking the marina. Like another reviewer, I recommend going for the smaller... More

First time on Vancouver Island. Staying in Saanich fortunately. Found this on Trip advisor. Great food. Reasonably Priced. Good selection. Restaurant "in the harbour" waterfront. Nice location Staff very friendly. Recommended smaller size portions as sometimes 2 sizes are available. Was a good recommendation

Eight of us enjoyed lunch here, sitting outside on the covered deck, taking in the view and the great atmosphere, with the appropriate Louisiana music to go with it. I loved the Fanny Bay oysters baked in a creamy, cheesy broccoli sauce. Others raved about the crab cakes, the po'boy sandwich of the day and the great salads with prawns.... More

We have just had a really tasty lunch at Blue's Bayou Cafe. There was a great deal to recommend this cafe - the food was delicious and it was nice to see some different veggie options on the menu, the outdoor seating area had a great view and the service was excellent. It's not the best place for an up-scale... More

I came here on night with a friend and enjoyed every single minute of it. We had been paddle boarding in this gem of a location. The staff were very friendly and the food was awesome! We planned on paddle boarding with more friends yesterday and the highlight of our paddle was to go to Blue's Bayou - but it... More

Nothing nicer than a late afternoon lunch on the patio. Great service, wonderful view, and the mango chicken wrap was great.

We had a good time and great food. I read all the reviews before we went but found every dish good. The mussels and ribs we my favorites but others had the horseradish coated fish and loved it. If you are expecting fine dining New Orleans style this is not for you. If you expect a bit funky with Cajun... More

Tried this restaurant last evening with a Groupon. That was an awesome deal. The food was very tasty and well prepared. Service was fast and friendly. Loved all the decorations. Would love to see them add hush puppies to the menu. While the food may not have been as spicy as you can expect in Louisiana, I think they have... More

How can this place call itself a Cajun restaurant? I tried the jambalaya, which was just a bowl of rice with canned tomatoes and old celery. My husband had a bite and spit it back out. What a joke. He had a chicken dish that was bland and over cooked. Our appetizer was a tiny dish of artichoke dip and... More

Don't misunderstand me, (as the owner did when I tried to give constructive criticism) the food here is very delicious, of excellent quality and serving size...it just isn't what we expected. There is no "kick" like you would expect for New Orleans cuisine. If someone chooses to go for Indian, Mexican or Thai food, they know they should be prepared... More
