Surprisingly good southern cuisine in Canada

We were staying nearby at the Brentwood Resort and Spa, so decided to try this place. I had seafood cannelloni, and my husband had ribs. Both were very good. Nice deck overlooking the bay. Chairs someone uncomfortable, but very casual place.

This restaurant is beautifully situated on Brentwood Bay. Inside it is very cluttered with knick-knacks from New Orleans (and some of this stuff is quite dusty). My husband likes the jambalaya but I am not a fan of spicy food. However, my entree of seafood canneloni was very good.

Unless you are eating or have a boat your vehicle will get towed if you park in their 1/2 acre parking lot to take a walk along the waterfront. If the Anglers anchorage marina boasts that 50% of the boat owners live within a 15 minute walk and 30% live in the townhouses, what is the big deal for locals... More

We went there on Friday past with 6 friends. It is always hard to find especially in the dark. We had some cold beers to start and a few appetizers. I had some clams, they were a bit chewy and no flavour to them. For dinner we had crusted fresh halibut steak, a Pepper steak, Jambalaya . The pepper steak... More

Went here for dinner, never been here before. The view over the water is great and a table on the deck in summer must be great. The food was okay, most of the ingredients were fresh but the tomato sauce base for the jambalaya was from a can. It was OK but not on the same level as yesterday's lunch... More

We found this great spot here on Trip Advisor after eating at the pub at the Brentwood Bay resort pub the night before and finding it a little pricey. This place was perfect. Food was good and very reasonably priced as was there wines. Would definitely come back again.

Good food, great little funky place on the water next to the marina. We like this place, and I am partial to it because I live a 5 minute walk away. We used to go more, but it has become so popular on summer evenings that it is difficult to get in, so reservations are a must now. Late summer... More

This is a quaint little restaurant hanging over the waters of Brentwood Bay. The setting is as good as it gets, nestled by the jetties of Brentwood it is definitely maritime. On a warm day, the outside tables would be perfect for a lazy late lunch, a large part of the deck is covered to provide respite from mid-summer sun... More
