We ate here on the evening of 23rd Sept and had a cracking meal. The curry was wonderful and really tasty - full of flavor. The starter of pitta bread and dip was wonderful too. It was a real treat to have a great meal when we had been camping and canoeing for the previous four days. The owners were... More

Very special place to eat in the very special place called Wells.. Wells is a little village outside Barkerville and reflects - in a very special way - the vibes of Barkerville but then transferred to the 21th century.. The food in the BPC is outstanding and the sphere is as well..

Only in a town with a population smaller than a business management class would the best restaurant be a tiny café with homemade mugs and mismatched tablecloths. But don’t let that fool you, the Bear’s Paw Café is probably one of the best places you can eat for a hundred kilometers. Yeah, yeah, I-I-I know that there are only ten... More

The food was excellent! Tasted like homemade. The owners were very friendly and and told us of several places to see while we were there. On the first evening there, my husband had the ribs and I had the Greek chicken pita. They were both excellent! The second time we had their buffalo burgers and caesar salad. A terrific meal! A... More

Food was tasty and good. Specials lead to a menu that is a little different every visit, which is nice. Service is attentive. It is certainly a favourite in wells. Sometimes there is music at an outdoor stage, sometimes there is a fire outside to help keep you warm. Recommended!

Canoeists will know Wells because it is the last stop before the Bowron Lakes Circuit. The Bear´s Paw Cafe is worth a stop for a very decent dinner before or after entering the outdoors. We were three adults and a three old boy and had dinner there. We ordered the fresh pita read with tsaziki, the burger and the salmon... More

This is an awesome place to eat. This was my first time in Wells and the first time at the Bear's Paws. We tried two other places in Wells but none compare. I would recommend reservations because it is not that big and the place can fill up very quickly because it is popular as I was later to find... More

The food here is excellent, well prepared and served and the ribs and enchilada are worth a long trip. Make sure that you get there early, there's usually a big line up!!

This is outstanding place to eat, it could compete with any good restaurant in a city. The food is always wonderful, the service friendly. I go to "The Paw" anytime I am in Wells, and have never been disappointed. I would recommend reservations because it is not that big and big groups can fill it up for the night. There... More
