On a cold, damp evening in Wells we stumbled upon this delightful cafe. Obviously popular with the locals and tourists alike we were lucky find a table for four in this crowded, family run establishment. We enjoyed a hearty meal chatting to the owner and learned that they had a B&B opposite the cafe.

.Despite a limited menu this is a good place to eat with well prepared food and a very welcoming atmosphere. Also a good location to pick up tips on local trails and outdoor activities both in winter and summer season from owner Dave.

We walked into this happening place and was immediately seated. The menu was brought. It has a limited menu but we were able to get want suited us. I had the bison/beef meatloaf. Nicely presented with a very tasty cole slaw. It was mild but very good! I would put a little garlic in, but then I put garlic in... More

I had a wonderful meal with lots of vegetables which I appreciated after a steady diet of freeze dried meals and PB&J. Even if I hadn't been camping, this restaurant was a must do.

We spent a day in Barkerville and the restaurant there had a line-up of at least 20 people, hence the decision to go for late lunch/early dinner elsewhere. We randomly stopped at Bear's Paw Cafe and were not disappointed! It was crowded as well, but we got a nice table within 3 minutes of waiting. The menu offers something for... More

This is the ideal place to visit after doing the Bowron Lake Chain. You really feel that you have come back to civilization when you dig your teeth into the juice spare ribs they serve or the delicious cakes and other deserts on the rich menu. Do not miss giving it a try to ride the bike parked in front... More
