Excellent Seafood Chowder. Love this place, nestled in the heart of Cowichan Bay. It is always packed at lunch and dinner time, so try to go between the lunch and dinner hours, then you have lots of room to chose the view

Had dinner at the Rock Cod Cafe earlier this evening with my wife and some friends. I had the calamari appetizer and the one piece halibut dinner, my wife had the one piece halibut dinner. The calamari was among the best I've ever had - light, perfectly done and delicious. The peppers, red onion and jalapeño slices, along with the... More

Stopped in late on a Friday night. Loved to see good gluten-free options - even beer! Dinner was tasty, good portion sizes and the waitress was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back - Cowichan Bay is so quaint!

Excellent fish and chips and very good service. This is a Cowichan Bay classic. Probably the best place for fish and chips in the Cowichan Valley and not far off the highway.

The Rock Cod Cafe in Cowichan Bay never disappoints. Their specialty fish dishes (best fish and chips around) are always fresh, delicious and well worth the trip to Cow Bay. Casual dining and family friendly. Definitely recommended.

We stopped in on a recommendation from our B&B host, and found it completely as described: good food, friendly staff, great view, and very reasonable prices.

Even on a cold blustery day the Rock Cod cafe is inviting and popular with locals. The french onion soup is perfect for these days and very generous. The fish and chips with "one" piece of cod is huge, fresh and satisfies just about everyone. They feature many local beers and ciders, and a few wines. The menu has something... More

I have been going to the Rock Cod Café in Cowichan Bay for at least 15 years, if not longer. We visit every time we are on Vancouver Island. We keep going back for the fish and chips, both the halibut and the cod. They are the best fish and chips in the world, in my opinion. I keep thinking... More

Went to the Rock Cod Cafe for my 48th and my aunt's 85th birthdays for a dinner celebration with 6 other guests. I had the Asian Halibut Bowl which I highly recommend especially if you like spicy food, however, I was disappointed with the chairs in which we had to sit on. They were rock hard :( Wooden chairs with... More

great place to eat if you like ocean side dining. food is good, large servings. Parking is a problem in the summer and on weekends as it is a narrow strip along the ocean,
