Fresh Fish and Chips to die for

If you're looking for a great BC fish and Chips experience this is the place and worth the drive up from Victoria if you aren't passing through. The Cowichan Valley is so beautiful with vineyards and shops and restaurants. Golf Courses too.

The food is amazing, their portions are huge for the price you pay. It's so affordable and well worth the money. Huge portions of fish and chips that are very well done. Nice little sea side restaurant for families.

I moved to Duncan 10 years ago and the Rock Cod in my opinion has the best Seafood menu, (Halibut and Fries) is my favorite. Reasonably priced. Save time to wander around Cow Bay, great shops and lots of interesting things to see. Sometimes a little busy but worth the wait. We have been going there about once a month... More

We drove down to Cowichan Bay for a Sunday getaway from Nanaimo and decided to have lunch at the Rock Cod. We formerly lived in Duncan and had been here several times in the past, several years ago. Our service was reasonable & courteous although I did observe arriving customers not being acknowledged in a timely fashion. The restaurant is... More

They have added the ability to select 2 half size side dishes with most meals. Or optionally one regular size side dish. Great flexibility when ordering.

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends. When we arrived we wete the only ones in there. Just before the dinner rush. I ordered the fish (Halibut) Tacos. For $18 I asdumed it would be substantial. I was wrong. 2 tiny pieces of fish stick in each with greens and salsa. My husband ordered the platter for $24. Which... More
