Great family restaurant, fresh seafood, 3 page gluten free menu. As a celiac this is my favourite restaurant as they have a complete Gluten free menu. I have eaten there often this summer and loved it each time.

She said, Oh you have to sit with a view. We were escorted to our table. (I am amiss for not acquiring her name). We... More

We visit Rock Cod Cafe every year when we come for vacation. It is the best fish I have ever had. I get the cod. My husband and his parents usually get the Halibut and the fries are delicious! Very generous servings as well.Stop by on your way through the beautiful Cowichan bay!

First, Cowichan Bay Village. It's a strip about one km long and 50 metres wide (15 of which is road) between a steep slope and the bay after which it is named. There are 100 businesses and ten houses strung out. Parking is tight, especially in summer. Now the Rock Cod. It has several advantages. It has more parking than... More

In this quaint tourist-oriented town on Cowichan Bay, the Rock Cod stands out for its simplicity and wonderful fresh seafood delights. The fish and chips are purported by many, to be the best on Vancouver Island. Other local offerings from chowder to crab cakes and fried oysters, are on the menu. The Rock Cafe is a busy restaurant. Be prepared... More

What a great place, beautiful view, pleasant staff, and great food. We wanted to go for a drive since it was such a beautiful day, we live in Victoria and we thought Cowichan Bay would be perfect. So glad we did. I had Cod fish & chips and they were excellent. I had the 2 piece which we both very... More

Ordered the sandwich special which was described as a Pastrami Melt on Foccacia with Mozza. What came to the table was a overly greasy foccia with 6 strips of Pastrami sprinkled with Mozzarella (and the word "sprinkled " is being liberal) and topped with a dark blackish-brown gravy. So not what I was expecting, that I was quite speachless. To... More
