We went in for appetizers, but after reading the new menu went for two mains. Both the Chicken Lombardi and the Halibut offering were excellent meals! We'll be back soon. A terrific chef and sound, professional service.

Funny to read so many positive reviews... Maybe it was because we were there for breakfast on a Monday? Rubbery scrambled eggs, small ramkin of Costco fruit salad, 2 peices of toast, one slice of cheese: 8.75 (+tx,tip). Coffee is 2.50 extra. Husband had 2 egg omelette, with same rankin of fruit also for 8.75. Toast was extra! I don't... More

Took the ferry over from Vancouver, it was late. Got into Maple Bay and checked into our b&b. we then took the scenic drive to Cowichan Bay and decided to eat at the terrain kitchen. The hotel is older, but well kept. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. We had a great seafood appy, dinner and sweet desert. I... More

We had breakfast here three mornings. Dinners are available here only on the weekend during the off season. A very reasonably priced menu for well presented and tasty breakfast choices. Very good service, even when a tour group somewhat overwhelmed the dining room. We recognized later that the hotel manager had stepped in to deliver food to the tables. We... More

We had Breakfast twice and appetizers and wine for a light supper. Every thing was delicious. The setting was beautiful of course and the staff was very pleasant. The service was a little slow one morning but within a short period of time additional staff provided assistance.

I can only comment on breakfast at this restaurant - but it was excellent. The dinner menu looks very good as well, and would be worth the try. Views are fabulous & staff VERY friendly & professional.

Dining looking over the water was fantastic. Nice wine menu and reasonably priced food. The egg crab Benedict was so good

Fabulous ever changing views and great waitress but the food? May as well grab take out down the block - fresher tastier and cheaper. . Or go to the pub next door or the really wonderful restaurant two doors down. Roast potatoes must have been frozen and reheated. Fish was dry - rib eye steak was cold and so were... More

We are local Cowichan Valley residents who like to support local businesses. We had heard nothing but bad reviews from friends who had eaten at Terrain. Going with low expectations, our expectations were met. Worst crab cakes we have ever had, no discernible bits of anything, very pasty and bland. I ordered a strip loin steak, medium rare. Was served... More
