I don't know how they did it, but I had the best breakfast on my entire trip from Calgary to Vancouver. The secret ingredient must have been love.

Enjoyed the homemade food—perfectly poached eggs, home fries made with pan-fried (not deep-fried—yay!), freshly chopped, skin-on potatoes garnished with green onion, and the excellent homemade biscuit. I asked for tomato instead of bacon—no problem. My partner’s traditional breakfast cane with homemade blackberry jam in a...stainless steel cup (not plastic—yay!). The cream for coffee came in a ceramic pitcher, not those horrible plastic cups. Cloth napkins . Love the eco-friendly steps taken here. So much character in the place, including the quirky candles near the entrance and artwork on sale just outside the entrance.More
Our breakfast was included with our stay at the hotel. Leagues better than breakfasts offered at other hotels. Bacon was thick and delicious, eggs and potatoes were also great. Quick service, great coffee, cute environment with photos of Edie Rae being a babe
Wonderful breakfast and experience all around! We stayed here for a night and if we weren’t already 100% satisfied with our accommodations we had breakfast here in the morning and once again were impressed! As stated we were entitled to a complimentary breakfast with our...room and it did not disappoint. I stuck with the traditional bacon and eggs while my partner chose from regular menu at 50% off price listed! He had western omelette and a side of their slow cook beans and both were perfection! The lovely young server was friendly and welcoming and was attentive with coffee refills which was appreciated! Don’t miss this spot in Powell River it’s amazing!More
Thank you so much for the review and I’ll be sharing this with your server Kendra
I had some time to kill while waiting for the ferry. This place was open for breakfast. I’m on a keto diet so no carbs. I ordered an omelette but didn’t want the bread or hash browns. The waitress offered avocado and tomatoes as a...replacement. The breakfast was ultra delicious. Highly recommended.More

Portions were very large; prices were very reasonable. The food was surprisingly good. Definitely a go to stop when in Powell river.

We went to Edie Rae’s with high expectations, we left severely disappointed. I would first like to say that this post has nothing against the servers, they tried their best and were courteous throughout. This post relates to the quality of food which was poor...and the chef/owner who is downright disrespectful. Yesterday we went to Edie Rae’s for Father’s Day, we were visiting from the lower coast and had another family with us, a total of 7 people. We ordered 7 dishes and coffees and this is where the farce starts. Our coffees were bitter and cold. The food was poor at best, the toast burnt, the eggs whether scrambled or poached were totally over cooked, the meat was dry and the hash browns were raw. Given this we hardly ate any of the food but still paid $180 with tip for this breakfast. My partner who is a server was upset with the quality of the food and the cost and went to speak with the server. The server was great and offered to refund 2 of the breakfasts, we expected more but we were happy to take this offer. There was an issue processing the refund so the server went to speak with the owner who happened to be the chef. This is were it got serious. It was pretty clear that the owner/chef was clearly offended that someone dare question the quality of his food, especially a server. He came rushing out the kitchen and started being verbally intimidating and confrontational with my partner who stayed calm throughout. He was rude, offensive and disrespectful to a female customer who he had just served a terrible meal too. This was a male being aggressive to a female in front of other customers including children. I guess the moral of the story is don’t question quality of this guys food unless you want to be berated. Needless to say we will never be returning and we won’t be recommending this diner to any of our friends and family.More
Nick thank you so much for this review I figured as much. I do hope you both had seen the cameras we have both inside and out. Anyways I was attempting to call your partners rudeness the way she treated her server and the disrespect...More

We were staying at the Old Courthouse Inn about a month back, and breakfast at the Edie Rae Cafe was a delight: delicious old-school breakfast fry-up, on the house. The waitress was busy as heck but even so remembered our prefs, was very helpful. Sadly...our room had some unaddressed deficiencies, but yeah, regardless of where we're staying next time, we WILL be visiting the cafe for breakfast. :)More
Wow. What can I say. The breakfast was outstanding. My husband had eggs benny and I had the classic breakfast. Wonderful.
Part of my stay at the Old Courthouse Inn, this little cafe was the perfect breakfast place. The breakfast was part of my room fee and completely worth it! There was a special menu for Inn guests so only some of meals on the regular...menu are the n the breakfast menu, but I had no complaints.More
We had two lovely breakfasts at Edie Rae's when staying at the Old Courthouse Inn. The food was delicious and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Even if you are not staying at the Courthouse Inn, stop by for a lovely breakfast and lots...of options. Tge benes are their specialty and the are yummy!More
I stopped in for breakfast the other day on a trip to Lund. What a delightful dinner at Old Courthouse Inn. The service was excellent, as was the breakfast. Simple but very good. This is a great spot to stop in Powell River.
