Expensive breakfast although food was good

Trapper's was not too busy so we opted for a big breakfast before our hike. Service was good - prompt and numerous checks from wait staff. The meals we note overly large but the price for what we received was excessive - check the menu before going in. The offering of fried potatoes was the only... read more

We stopped in after a hike up the hump, with the idea of some cold beer and appies. While we certainly ordered the beer, and there is reasonable variety, after close inspection of the menu we only ordered poutine for the kids. The poutine was mediocre at best. The menu is pricey...not going again. The staff are what makes this... More

Service in Waterton is just incredible, and it is no different at Trapper's MG. We came in around 6PM on a Thursday, following a recommendation from Kevin, and it was quite busy as I have seen it always. We had burgers (a Trapper's Original, and a Bison Burger) which were both perfect! I really mean perfect!! TO wash them down,... More

This is the place we most visited to have our lunch, or after-hiking beers on the outdoor patio of this lovely restaurant. The food is excellent and the servers are so very nice. Although we did not eat inside at any time, I did look at the inside restaurant and it was super charming.

We had a great meal here-ate saskatoon berries for the 1st time. Their decor is Canadian (?) plaid- we loved it!

We end up here after horrible service at a nearby restaurant. While the prices here were higher, it was well worth it. My husband had a beer and a burger. I had a soft drink and the Salmon "Burger." It was NOT a prefab salmon Patty. It was a large filet of salmon that was juicy as could be. My... More

Fish was over-battered, steak over-cooked & dry, beans tasted bland (as if from a can), the "coleslaw" was dry cabbage. Service OK, but very expensive at $90 for two sad dinners and two drinks.

This restaurant is extremely expensive for what it is but I mean you are in Waterton so what can you do, really? I ordered their Blue Cheese Burger. It was pretty good but I doubt it's authentic. Frozen fries (I don't mind it though, don't get me wrong), canned beans, coleslaw tasted very industrial and the whole burget itself was... More

We had very simple brunch with delicious nachos at Trapper's. The food was great and service as well. They had variety of items but I felt its bit expensive, however you will pay for what you get. I recommend this restaurant.

We had a simple, delicious breakfast at Trappers. Comfortable, spacious booths, big mugs of coffee, attentive, genuinely friendly service, and hearty, tasty food.
