Great beer and dinner al fresco after Crypt Lake hike

The food was flavorful and healthy. The outdoor seating was really pleasant. And the very large draft beer shown in the picture was gone after a sunny day hiking up to Crypt Lake and back.

The service was fine and the food was OK. But 2 sodas, a full rack of ribs and a BBQ sandwich (pork seemed like 'parts' not pulled pork or pieces of pork) was $65 pretip. We would not go back.

We ate outside on the patio. Was fun watching everyone walking by. My friend and I split the Saskatoon Chicken which was fantastic. We're both rather small, so splitting worked, but it's not that big of portions. The gift shop that's attached to the restaurant has some random and souvenir-type items.

This restaurant is clean and nice looking. Lots of booths and attractive interior of pine wood. We were greeted quickly and staff was friendly. We had brisket BBQ sandwiches accompanied by French fries and cole slaw and served on garlic toast. We both liked the BBQ sauce. Fries were fresh and hot. Service was excellent and attentive. Server kept checking... More

Food was below average at 5 star price. I've never seen beer so expensive anywhere! 7.50$ for a bottle and 13.95 for a pint. 60$ for a T-bone steak and none of the steaks even said AAA alberta beef. We had a burger at 18$ and a bowl of chili. Burger was terrible and chili was mediocre at best (hard... More

This family run restaurant, (with an attached gift shop), had a great atmosphere, great service and good food. The menu had a good variety of selections and portions were big. Prices were reasonable given the holiday environment.

Food is VERY expensive for what you get here. Staff were pleasant but not worth the money for what basically ends up being on par with a Boston Pizza type establishment.

Decided to give Trapper's a second chance after a disappointing first visit. Unfortunately, I left even more unsatisfied. On my first visit I stopped in for breakfast prior to catching the 9am boat to Crypt Lake. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, thinking it would fill me up properly before a day long hike but did not. Everything was very bland... More

The food was very average and expensive (like everything in town which is to be expected.) Had to go get some dessert at the ice cream shop down the street so we could get full. The waitress was very nice.
