Tasty food, if a bit pricey

We all enjoyed our sandwiches and other snacks. While the food was fairly pricey, it was nice to be able to buy some decent vegetarian food in Inverness. None of us are coffee drinkers, but it sure smelled good!

The cinnamon roll was way too salty. The coffee was not so great. The place has too little business for the staff to develop skill with the espresso making. The atmosphere is surreal - an enormous beautifully renovated space without any real soul. It would be better to transport the location to te middle of a major city.

Is now in Cheticamp. For me, relaxing means having a good beverage in my hand and a stop at this cafe in the morning before the beach or on the drive around the Cabot Trail was a real treat. Great to have this spot on the strip.

Liked that it was a local company, good coffee, good food, friendly service, I like to support locals rather than chains any time I can, they're usually waaaay better than chains, Downstreet Coffee confirmed that once again.

I've been going to the down street for a few months now and it has been on a steady decline. The coffee is great, the desserts are nice and the atmosphere is great but I've come to see there are some big issues. The menu started off well in october (wind down of tourist season) with lovely exotic flavours and... More

We had a very nice lunch that was composed of a healthy meat sandwich with homemade soup; coffee, tea, and a scone. We were served by a very efficient, friendly young lady who served us with a smile and great conversation. The prices were reasonable and being right on Main Street Inverness meant it was easy to find.

We were staying at the Glenera Distillery and we spotted the place on our way there. Next morning we stopped for coffee and bake goods. It was awesome! The place is spacious and contemporary. We bought 2 pounds of their dark roast coffee (which is delicious if you want a strong roast notes), cranberries scones are made out of fresh... More

Best coffee on our entire trip - and an excellent lunch as well. This is a bright, well-run cafe along the Cabot Trial in Inverness. A happy surprise! We stopped on our way up and again coming back.

I have no idea when this place opened but I only noticed it the other day! I was driving around the Cabot Trail ad found myself quite hungry with a preference to try a restaurant or coffee shop that I had never tried before. I was driving through Inverness when I noticed this place and decided to try it out.... More
