The Springwater Lodge has a nice patio that offers great views of the boat traffic in Active Pass. Very pleasant place to spend an extended lunch. Very laid back atmosphere and good food.

good food and spectacular patio view of Miner's Bay, great to watch the sunset and have a few brews and grub.

The food, service and management do not rate. But the view is spectacular; especially when the sun is shining and customers are able to sit out on the patio. But be sure you have lots of time to get where you are going because you will wait for service.

This little gem has it all...the building just oozes history as you look around. Old, rustic, fascinating. The patio, fabulous for sitting, sipping, eating, watching....Wonderful spot to spend some hours relaxing. We visited twice during our stay. The first day we were told they were out of oyster burgers, so my husband and I had Fish and chips and shared... More

When we visited the island recently, we found that there are only a handful of restaurants. We were happy to find this on our first day, and came back for lunch the other two days we were there. The food was delicious and the view outstanding, overlooking the water as the BC Ferries pass by. We tried the salmon salad,... More

a 5 hour visit with a friend on Mayne took us to the Springwater in, which is a favorite of the locals. It was too cool to enjoy the outside patio, but we had a great corner seat in the restaurant that gave us great views of the harbour. Menu is smaller, but offered good variety of options. Soup of... The other reviewers have this one right. Staff are friendly and professional. The food is basic pub food, nothing special. But the location is brilliant, overlooking Miners Bay. It is a great place to have a beer and watch the ferries go through Active Pass. We did not get a chance to taste the home-made pies, because they had all... More

On a good day you need reservations for sure. But their patio seating is lovely, hummingbirds flying around, beautiful view of the water and the ferries passing. Food is good, with specials, but is a little limited in scope. You can get a jug of beer and just sit and enjoy. Great place to go.

We had snacks and drinks several times at this lodge/pub. Staff were friendly and service was decent. The food is usual pub fare and we had no complaints about it. They did run out of ale beer on tap but that was not bad as we tried the dark lager and it was better than we expected. The best part... More

It is never easy to write a 'bad' review, and that job is made more difficult when staff etc at a place have been so welcoming and friendly. Ate lunch and dinner here as part of a stay at the Waterfront cabins just along the beautiful shoreline. Lunch was pretty much British pub fayre (very welcome to 2 starving cyclists!)... More
