The other reviewers have this one right. Staff are friendly and professional. The food is basic pub food, nothing special. But the location is brilliant, overlooking Miners Bay. It is a great place to have a beer and watch the ferries go through Active Pass. We did not get a chance to taste the home-made pies, because they had all... More

On a good day you need reservations for sure. But their patio seating is lovely, hummingbirds flying around, beautiful view of the water and the ferries passing. Food is good, with specials, but is a little limited in scope. You can get a jug of beer and just sit and enjoy. Great place to go.

We had snacks and drinks several times at this lodge/pub. Staff were friendly and service was decent. The food is usual pub fare and we had no complaints about it. They did run out of ale beer on tap but that was not bad as we tried the dark lager and it was better than we expected. The best part... More

It is never easy to write a 'bad' review, and that job is made more difficult when staff etc at a place have been so welcoming and friendly. Ate lunch and dinner here as part of a stay at the Waterfront cabins just along the beautiful shoreline. Lunch was pretty much British pub fayre (very welcome to 2 starving cyclists!)... More

The service was adequate but the food very basic and uninspiring. I had a salmon burger and my wife a steak sandwich where the steak was very well done and cardboard like. An experience not to be repeated from this side, nor would I recommend it. This place suffers from a lack of local competition in the food service sector.

Friendly service, good food, and a view of Village bay ... who can ask for more. This is the oldest, continually-operated, lodge in British Columbia and is located right on the edge of the water. Our lunch consisted of cod and chips, and a burger with local oysters. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious.

This restaurant has a lovely deck for sitting in the sun and enjoying the view. The food is touch and go sometimes, usually good, but I have had a meal there that I felt wasn't up to snuff. But the atmosphere is certainly worth it. Can get very busy, so I would recommend reservations in the summer time.

Small little, quaint pub overlooking Active Pass. Enjoyed some ice cold beers, beautiful view of the ocean, sat for a few hours, could've easily stayed longer

food was very good, service is Island slow but who cares! You are sitting there overlooking the dock and beautiful Mariner's harbour with all that is happening. Best combo of food and view on the Island.

We found this was the place to be if you wanted the best sunset on the Island. Bonus was the food was good too.
