Exceptional home style food!

The chick-pea flour samosas were by far the best I've ever had! Roasted tomato soup was nice and fresh. The portions are on the small side. Family friendly with a kids menu. Friendly and efficient service.

Made reservations for 7:30 Saturday for two and were seated on arrival. Ordered wine, so far so good. Limited menu (home cooking, don't you know). Told one of the entrees was sold out. Ordered our entrees, waitress said one was also sold out. Ordered a substitute we didn't really want. Food we received was quite good. Cart cake dessert also... More

Quaint restaurant with interesting daily selections listed on chalk boards. Efficient and friendly service. Check out the local wines by the glass. Enjoyed my locally raised water buffalo hamburger served with a salad and homage maple Dijon vinaigrette.

It's so nice to experience a restaurant that does a limited number of main courses extremely well..... there were four choices of entrees, and our Thai Chicken with noodles and our pasta with a zesty tomato sauce were amazing....and affordable! They also had some very nice local wines in 1/2 litre carafes.... Very nice indeed....

Tried the buffalo burger and chicken wrapped! Delicious and fresh! Loved the lime dressing for the salad. Nice place to try local wines. They also had a bunch of tots and a high chair for our kids.

Located in a building with other restaurants and with a sheltered patio this is a perfect hideaway place to eat and enjoy the flavourful food. I had the pasta which was rich and tasty -everything was fresh and you didn't lose the flavour of the tomatoes. My husband had the smoked pork on a ciabatta bun and raved about the... More

Today it was an inventive corn/potato chowder with fresh dill (we saw the leafy stalks peeping out of the bag of groceries being carried in), a tourtière with a flakier, thinner pastry than the signature one at Lake on the Mountain (my previous favorite for this dish), and a coconut cream pie with graham cracker crust that is possibly the... Food selection limited but what you get is very good. Price not bad, for Picton (restaurants seem to charge on average 25% more than Toronto restaurants). Ambience very casual. Service friendly, although food can take some time to get to you (it was busy when we were there). Will return.

The back patio of this place is lovely. Quiet and tucked away from the main drag. Loved that my dog was allowed on the patio with us and they brought him a bowl of water. The serving staff were very friendly The food on a whole looked incredible on the menu. It was very hard to decide what to choose.... More
