Wonderful, will return

Food selection limited but what you get is very good. Price not bad, for Picton (restaurants seem to charge on average 25% more than Toronto restaurants). Ambience very casual. Service friendly, although food can take some time to get to you (it was busy when we were there). Will return.

Lunchtime Favourite for newcomers and visitors to Picton. So many unique dishes show off the local flare for fare.

The back patio of this place is lovely. Quiet and tucked away from the main drag. Loved that my dog was allowed on the patio with us and they brought him a bowl of water. The serving staff were very friendly The food on a whole looked incredible on the menu. It was very hard to decide what to choose.... More

My husband and I came to the Painted Peppercorn after a couple of wine tastings in the late afternoon. I called ahead to ask about gluten-free options, and the server said he was very familiar with celiac disease, so it would be no problem. There were a number of great choices on the menu, and all the wines were local.... More

We entered this little family restaurant (approximately 18 seats) having been turned away from two other crowded restaurants at the supper hour on a Monday. Happily, there was a table for our party of 5 (2 adults, 1 tween, 2 kids) but no menu because the other two tables were reading the carefully handwritten menus. It took a while to... More

Was so impressed with the food on my first visit for lunch, that the next time I was in Picton, I went back there for dinner. Both times I had the best fruit soups I have ever tasted. And both times I had a meal that was scrumptiously tasty to the last bite. Great food, healthy selection, friendly service and... More

We had a great meal, excellent service and some very good wine at this place. Would definitely recommend this place. Prices are good too.

I was in with my fiancée for dinner and the service was impeccable and the food so healthy and delicious. The server was named Lesley and throughout our visit she was friendly and answered any questions we had with a smile. I had the Buffalo burger and my fiancée had the duckenderry platter both were excellent and fresh. I will... More

It's a small restaurant (and thankfully was not too busy) when our group of 5 adults and 5 kids under 6 arrived for lunch. Staff we're very accommodating when we moved a few tables on the patio and brought some books and toys for the kids. The food is tasty, healthy, and well presented. This was our second time eating... We went to the Painted Peppercorn for lunch and found the menu quite delightful. The food is well seasoned and imaginative. The rhubarb crumble was a bit disappointing in taste and presentation, and there was no ice cream to go along with it.
