Great staff, delicious food

It's a small restaurant (and thankfully was not too busy) when our group of 5 adults and 5 kids under 6 arrived for lunch. Staff we're very accommodating when we moved a few tables on the patio and brought some books and toys for the kids. The food is tasty, healthy, and well presented. This was... read more

We went to the Painted Peppercorn for lunch and found the menu quite delightful. The food is well seasoned and imaginative. The rhubarb crumble was a bit disappointing in taste and presentation, and there was no ice cream to go along with it.

We met friends there for lunch and what a wonderful culinary and superior service experience. The pulled pork sandwich was extremely flavourful, succulent and tender. The spinach soup was heavenly. Thanks to Chris who was serving us that day and for making our lunch time visit a memorable one.

I chose this restaurant all of those available for lunch in Picton & was not disappointed. It's such a quaint little space with good service & a limited but nice menu all of which come with a soup or salad. This time I chose the lamb burger as some of the choices are a bit exotic for my taste. I... More

This great little jewel is just off the main drag in Picton. I ate lunch at this place about five years ago. It was a five star experience then and it did not disappoint this past weekend. My husband and I spent the day in Picton with our daughter, her husband and two our two grand daughters. We stopped for... More

The food is really good and their desserts are well know in the area.Location isn't the greatest, but I think the owners like it where it is.Definitely sit outside.the view is of side of buildings and a parking lot Picton style.Planted lots of trees to make it cosy.

Lunch was tortiere and soup. The tortiere was beautifully seasoned with flaky pastry, served with chutney and fruit garnish. The soup was mushroom sweet potato and gouda cheese. Just the meal for a windy November day. Service is perfect and the cost is reasonable considering what you get. As a new County-arian (County-ite?) I'll be a regular here.

We just happened to find this place, needing a late lunch after driving all morning and glad we did. Chris made us very welcome, explained the different choices and , made some recommendations. The cider was great and sharing the lamb burger and brie dip was taste. Nice to eat at a place with different choices, good value, friendly atmosphere... More
