Little house restaurant

Great food and reasonably priced. We were advised to book (Friday evening). Don't know if they're open lunchtimes. Used by locals and tourists alike. Knocked a point off as had to ask about soft drinks (we had the wine menu) and also for water. But service was excellent and I do recommend.

Some reviewers thought service was slow but they must have been "chain diners". Exactly what you would hope for in a small restaurant run by husband & wife so cooked to order. Seafood chowder was perfectly prepared. Not you thick New England Chowder where you load on crackers. A fresh & bright herb chowder with perfect sized diced seafood in... More

This small and very unassuming restaurant on Ucluelet's main thoroughfare has a good reputation locally. We had a very nice anniversary meal here. Good menu and wine selection. Best to book I think, especially at weekends.

We could hardly wait to go back a second time and we even made a reservation and went here for a 3rd breakfast.

We arrived around 19:15. We were 3. To accommodate us they offered us a place on the back deck. We accepted but it was chilly, no patio heat. My 15 year old had a chicken burger, nice breast but not tasty enough. My wife had the penne, again it wasn't tasty and my salmon burger, same thing. It was good... More

Please eat here if you have got the chance. It is so cute, like a little doll house. They do have a terrace at the back, so sit outside if you can or on the front porch. The food was super fresh and super tasty. The chowder is awesome, so was the pasta, the salads. We went there every day... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant for breakfast. I ordered scramble eggs and bacon with toasts but the eggs were without much taste. The bacon was OK. What we did not like most was that the staff was unfriendly or stressed or tiered or any combination of it - both times (we visited there the day before to check... More

I will start by saying we were a large group and we just sprung ourselves on them with little warning. The place did seem a bit understaffed but they were accommodating. The food was a bit slow coming out but again we were a large group. The clam chowder was absolutely amazing and may be the best I have ever... More

We stopped here because our tour guides (Pacific Rainforest Adventure Tours) made the stop. It was fabulous. The best clam chowder I've ever had. The roast beef sandwich (not fatty at all) and soup were enough for the two of us. There is outdoor seating and about eight tables inside. I highly recommend the Matterson House if you are in... The meal started off with a very delicious small loaf of bread. I wasn't very happy with mine and mentioned that at the end of my meal. That was my mistake. The wait staff told me that I should of said something at the beginning and they would of got me something else. My Wife had the Verdi's "Verde Pesche"... More
