Visited this location for a late morning breakfast. The service was fine, nothing special. The breakfast was huge, 2 eggs, 3 bacon, pile of hash browns and 2 huge slices of home made whole wheat bread. The serving was more than generous. Coffee good, and kept flowing. The offering of jams wasn't there and the eggs were somewhat greasy. The... More

Went there for lunch. This little yellow house is very quaint! I had French onion soup and my husband had chowder . We both thoroughly enjoyed our soup. We shared a bacon, chicken and mushroom quesadilla . Everything was made from scratch . Would go back for lunch!

We stopped there for lunch and had a wonderful meal. The place is small like eating in your grandmas house. Very friendly staff, homey feel and tasted like Grandma had made our meal. If we are ever back in that area again we will make sure we stop in and have a meal.

... but this place is really great. We went for brunch, and food is great, tasty and plenty of it. That toast must be made from home made bread, cause it was just great. The space is cosy and feels like you are in someone's house. They have a nice porch and also a back patio, so make sure you... More

We first checked out Norwood's Restaurant, but the prices were just too much, so we went next door to Matterson House. the server, who may have been the owner, was very pleasant. The food was 'just OK', I can't say that it was 'inspired' by any means. The restaurant is very small, so I imagine in the high season you... More

While we love the quaintness if this old house and restaurant , it is very small inside and not much if any deck if any to sit at . The food is good but the menu seems the same from the last time we were there not much changed while that is okay sometimes this menu needs and infusion some... More

We went for breakfast both mornings, they have the biggest slices of bacon you have ever seen! The make their own bread, & grind their own coffee. The portions are huge too. Very nice selection for a dinner menu but we were too beat to get out of the hot tub & get dressed to go there! Next time though
