We were passing through Haines Junction along the Alaska Highway around lunchtime and stopped here. Great experience! I had a slice of Hawaiian pizza (ham, pineapple, onion, and lots of cheese) which was excellent. They also have lots of gluten-free choices. My wife is allergic to wheat and dairy; she was able to get an excellent "wrap" that was wheat/gluten... More

A must stop in Haines Junction for the traveler. Excellent coffee of all kinds. Bring your own cup and you get .50 off. They have a nice little bakery and even meals with daily specials. See my pictures for an example and pricing. It was really a surprise to find a Bakery & Coffee shop with hot meals of this... More

We came to buy a bottle of wine and were snagged by the pastry counter and ended up buying two somewhat dry and chewy cheese/onion buns and a more successful strawberry cheese danish and a moist scone. These were all quite expensive. I noticed that there were some healthy looking prepared salads and lasagna on offer too. We did our... More

Sorry to hear you thought our buns were too firm - I'll recommend to the staff that we offer to warm them up for customers in the evening (they're much fresher in the morning). As for the drinking - when in Rome... =) More

This bakery is a special place. Don't miss the Village Bakery and Deli while traveling thru Haines Junction. It is two blocks off the main highway and is easy to find. The bake goods are all fresh and there is a wide variety.

If you are in the Area don't miss this bakery. The baked goods are awesome. You can sit down and enjoy a meal or take a delicious meal with you for later on your hike. Our only difficulty was trying to choose between all the delightful baked goods, sandwiches, etc, The people were cheerful and freindly. You could eat indoors... More

It"s obvious from the moment you walk in that the people here care about their food. Great atmosphere. And such good food in the display cases. Notwithstanding you can have a custom made sand wich we went for the vegetable torte and spanakopita. Both were great. i liked being able to see into the food preparation area and seeing the... The food was so yummy. Very healthy options including veg and vegan. Delicious baked goods. They serve Midnight Sun coffee, my favorite in the North!

We were there early in the morning and just wanted a cup of coffee to go. (Regular coffee...not a latte or anything fancy.) We went in, poured our own coffee from a dispenser in paper to-go cups, put cream in and went to the register to pay, and we were charged $7.00 for our 2 cups. Regular size paper cups!!... More

Karen, sorry to hear you thought our coffee is priced too high. We charge $3.30 for a large (16 oz.) drip coffee and we think that's a very reasonable price. If you'd brought in a reusable mug or used one of non-disposable ones, you'd have gotten a 50 cent discount on the coffees - I think you'd have a hard... More

No matter which way you come into Haines Junction you'll be looking for a place for a little break from the drive and this should top your list. The food is tasty and you should plan on a little something there and a to-go goody as well - Whitehorse, Haines and Beaver Creek are all a bit of a drive... More
