Great local pub

We enjoy going here for a bite and a drink. The food is good and there is a good variety of choices. Sometimes it can be really busy before a ferry or on a long weekend. The deck is nice in the summer.

Went there for a beer and a bite to eat while I waited for the ferry. Took over 15 minutes for a cup of chowder, and the server didn't care - she just stood at the end of the bar chatting with the other staff. DON'T GO if you're in any type of hurry - and I wasn't even in... More

Hubby and I went here before taking the ferry a couple of weeks ago. Our server looked like she was completely run off her feet (it seemed like she was the only server on on a Friday night?????) When I told her I wanted a non-alcoholic cocktail she just looked at me and said "I have no idea, I just... More

Stopped again on way home to Island waiting for ferry. Sat on the Patio overlooking the bay. Enjoyed a couple appys and drinks. Service was good, place was busy - no children :P Will be back.

Because the restaurant that was recommended to us in Horseshoe Bay was closed, we tried this place for lunch, getting a seat on the deck overlooking the ferry docks and marina - so glad we did. It is a great spot. And the ale and food matched the location. My wife had the reuben sandwich while I had the roast... More

We moor our boat in Horseshoe Bay so often plan to return to the Bay in the evening so as to top off a lovely sea voyage with a good dinner. This summer we ate twice at the Troller Ale House and enjoyed both the dinner and the view on both occasions. While my husband was more adventurous that, I... More

I live on the Sunshine Coast and commute to Vancouver via Horseshoe Bay so this is a pretty regular spot for me. This pub has been a fixture of Horseshoe Bay for decades but they moved to new digs last year and with the move came a totally new menu and drink list. It always amazes me that in Vancouver,... It’s not as sincere as it used to be when it was a couple blocks West, fewer old sea-dogs in the corners. But hey, the location is great, right up against the ferry terminal and with that Horseshoe-Bay view. Ran in there a little closer to ferry-departure time than was wise and said as I sat down, “I need a... More

Four of us went for an early lunch and sat inside as it was cool out. Two ordered the calamari, one ordered a turkey sandwich and I had the Lions bacon & eggs. The calamari arrived as did the turkey sandwich without turkey! Oops. I then got my bacon and eggs and yes you guessed it, no bacon. Waitress did... More

We had arrived early for the ferry so we thought we would grab a bite to eat. We stumbled on this restaurant and glad we did. I had the salmon burger which was fresh and delicious, my husband had the seafood pasta which was creamy with plenty of fish. To go along with our meal we could look out at... More
