You can get FIVE TIMES the tea in Lucas' in Squamish, making it very worth the drive. Also, Teavana. This certainly has knowledgable staff, and all you'll need, it just has it at rates that are excessively inflated. NOT WORTH IT when there are any other tea shops near.

Lovely tea-house. Very civil and relaxed atmosphere, but with excellent staff and standards and a fabulous choice of teas. Lovely on a rainy day but also great to sit outside in the sunshine watching the world of 'the village' go by...

I liked the smell of my Tea but it didn't taste as good as it smells! The creme brulee tea blend was terrible! I enjoyed their sandwiches, but was disappointed with their desserts. The cake was really sweet and the strawberry covered chocolate wasn't tempered correctly. The staff members were nice and the tea room looked very nice and modern.

You almost feel transported to to the another land when you enter the Urban Tea Merchant. Elegant tea canisters line the back walls, music from the East plays in the background, and the smell of fresh pastries fill the room. The tea service here is an experience of all the senses. if you enjoy macaroons or croissants , then then... More

We went to the one on W. Georgia St, but Trip Advisor does not have this new location listed yet. This is not the spot for the frilly high teas. They are serious about their tea and it shows. Although the focus is all on the tea, the accompanying sandwiches and pastries are well above par. The service is very... More

My daughter and I enjoyed afternoon tea at this charming tea room near Robson St. For $25 each we were served a pot of tea - many to choose from with a three tiered tray of filling finger sandwiches, large scone with clotted cream and jam and delicious sweets. Service was friendly and professional.

I have been here several times and and always enjoyed my meals. Portion size is not too big but the quality of the food is top notch. I liked my smoked salmon dish a lot.

We recently moved from Calgary where we enjoyed a wonderful tea place. We had been searching for a new tea place and tried a few before we stumbled upon the Urban Tea Merchant. Living out in Coquitlam, this was a considerable trek for tea. However, we went and were amazed at the tea selection and quality, the service, and atmosphere.... More

Please Note... It is not my policy to write bad reviews on open forums without first trying to contact the proprietor and discuss my concerns. I have tried, on numerous occasions, to contact this business in order to inform them of our disappointments. I have yet to get a hold of anyone. My fiancé had, for some time, been raving... More

If you are looking for a unique selection of teas (including the french "cult phenom", the o dor) this is the place!! The owner will spend a lot of time with you to help you with your selection and ensure you will enjoy it. My husband and I had their afternoon tea service. I selected the Morrocan experience and it... More
