Good food, but presentation lacking

My partner and I recently had dinner at this local family owned restaurant. Service was attentive without bring intrusive. We started with the salad of the day, lovely fresh greens with baked chèvre, a generous serving and we're very glad that we shared it My husband had the fish dish of the... read more

We actually ate their last night and as usual everything was perfection. Service is always wonderful and Linda always has a warm welcome as if you were family. Food is always excellent. The Mystery nights are a huge attraction and it amazes me how they manage to cook a three course meal and nobody ever seems to wait as everybody... More

I organized a Dinner Theatre event for my special interest club to be held at this restaurant, collaborated with the scriptwriter and promoted it to my club, purely for the fun of it. We needed 28 - 30 participants to make it a go, and if I could get about 20 members the restaurateur, Linda Wawrik, would invite her “regulars”... More

In response to the Mystery Dinner: First of all, (the writer and producer of show and myself) have been lead to believe that since May that this one group would fill the show. Up to the beginning of Sept very few people had actually booked and signed up for the show. We scrambled to get our own clientele for the... More

If you're looking for glitz and shine..go somewhere else. This is a wonderful family owned place..a place to sit and visit without pressure to order..eat..and leave..a place for family and friends to gather.. laugh.. and spend an enjoyable evening..knowing full well that the food is consistently excellent...every thing cooked to perfection..and we have never..over the course of 20 years been disappointed.... This place used to be a favourite but sadly it's gone downhill Small portions and unimaginatively presented, and not cheap! No effort made to spruce up the patio or the 80s decor inside The owners have lost interest, and I'll be eating elsewhere and there's lots to choose from.

This review is personal against owners losing interest We have been operating for 25 years and this is our life into this business we love our clientele And many have become our friends over the years The patio decor is wood trellis and grapevines surrounding the deck as a small quaint place in Tuscany The front has palm trees flourishing... Cute place but food was not good...over-cooked chicken and seafood, bland, boring food. Ingredients were definitely not fresh. Very disappointing...

Had lunch yesterday at Crescent Beach Bistro. Decided to eat inside as my guest had allergies, even though the outside patio section was very nice, but we had a nice table for two at the window. Who would have thought there would be Palm Trees right outside the window! with beautiful plants and flowers all around! Were we in Hawaii... More

My husband and I were able to enjoy a scrumptious lunch here last Friday. We flew in from Edmonton and headed directly to our favourite bistro. I have been dining here for over a decade and always enjoyed my experiences. Linda greeted us warmly and sat us outside on the patio, music was being played onto the patio , the... More

We have been monthly visitors (at least) to the bistro for many years, never disappointed. This is a quiet little restaura unt on the main street of Crescent beach and can easily be missed. The menu is small but each dish is consistently done very well. Seafood is always cooked perfectly. Don't forget to try the chocolate coconut torte for... More

Small cozy restaurant that has excellent food, good idea to make a reservation. The coconut curry chicken is one of my all time favorite dishes. Owners are very friendly and always happy to make you feel at home.
