Great service, nice dining choice for Sussex. It is a friendly, down home dining experience. We enjoyed the service and the log dining is a nice touch. Great price on the kids meals. Try it out.

Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. We were there for lunch and my husband ordered a grilled cheese sandwich that had only a thin slice of cheese. My clam strips were mostly coating with very few clams. The milkshake was good.

We enjoyed our draft beer, sandwich, and friendly waiter. This is a down home place favored by locals, not a white linen restaurant.

This was our first visit, and while the decor was quaint and log-cabin-esque, and the service friendly, the food was disappointing. We both ordered veggie stirfries, which were just soggy frozen veggies over reheated rice. Not inedible, but not worth $11-$12 either. I really wanted to like the whole experience, but the food was just not at all impressive. I... More

Email I sent to the restaurant.. Would like to note the restaurant was not busy when we arrived area looking for a cozy place to eat lunch.. We arrived at your restaurant at about 1:15 Sunday afternoon June 22. We are a family of 6 and your restaurant apparently couldn't accommodate us. While there was one table available it was... More

Went there for an evening meal while staying in Sussex . The restaurant is nice and large , all log construction, lots of space . Not noisy . Some had their specials , some didn't . Menu is quite varied so there is lots of choice . Service was very slow considering it wasn't busy and several staff . Food... More

we have eaten here before and the service was a lot nicer, plus the food was better. Food was lukewarm and skimpy. we felt we were interrupting the waitress or she wanted to work somewhere else.

It was a 15 minute wait for our order to be taken. Then our food arrived before we had our drinks (1 beer & water). Our garlic bread was charred black and we were not given any plates. My chicken wings tasted like the cheapies for the Superstore and I also was not given a dish to put the bones... More

Nicely varied menu, with an obvious level of pride and care put into what leaves the kitchen. The seafood chowder was terrific, and my wife called the baby spinach salad the best salad she's ever had.

We stopped here on our way back to Saint John after a weekend in Halifax, after reading in the local newspaper that there was new management and some upgrades. We had been there a few years ago, and to tell the truth we did not notice anything had changed- for the better. The staff took forever to get around to... More
