It's a great place to view the mountain but I found it overpriced and not worth it! The outside sitting area is nice on a sunny day but you can sit in the chairs for free outside of the Summit House.

The main point of taking the gondola up Crystal Mountain is for the view. It is not for high-end dining. This is the case for most ski area mountainside restaurants. You can't beat the view here; the people who built the restaurants wisely made two sides of the restaurants all glass. Few mountainside ski restaurants have great food; the point... More

Memorable lunch at the summit house. Friendly folks and view of Rainier and the complete cascade of mountains and valleys. What better food than to have "the mountain"! Recommend? Ofcourse yes. A hike up to the summit before lunch would be a complete trip!

The views at a restaurant don't get much better than this, spectacular. Restaurant itself is basic and fairly small. Menu is also basic American, although well made. Food is not gourmet. You come here for the ambiance.

This restaurant is at the top of the Gondola ride at Crystal Mountain Resort at Mount Rainier, so you have to pay for the gondola ride, which is not cheap. We made reservations for the restaurant way in advance and asked if we could have a table with a view. We were told that could not be guaranteed, but we... More

Ate here last summer. The gondola ride was wonderful, the food ok. The server needed more training. And for the menu, when you get to lunch at 1:00 and almost everything on it is out what is the point. Our National Parks needs to up there restaurants here also.

We rode the gondola up to the Summit house for lunch on 8/8/14. The ride up was beautiful, and the view at the restaurant was amazing. We had reservations but were early, so we sat in the chairs and took in the mountain view. We got a window table and enjoyed that. I had the fish and chips, and hubby... More

Had not planed on having lunch but the gondola was out of service for a while, so glad it was. Were seated inside by request we had been hiking on a nice warm summer day and wanted out of the sun for a bit. Found the service friendly & helpful. The food was very good and nicely served. We shared... More

This is quite a disappointing place to dine. First of all, we planned to go on a Saturday morning/afternoon. We made reservations, and they seated us a few minutes before our reservations even. We dined inside by choice, but the view of Mt. Rainier was still stunning. However, that has little to do with the quality of the restaurant. Our... More

After riding the gondola up to the top and seeing the awesome views, we decided to have lunch at Summit House. We were not disappointed. Our waiter was super, and very accommodating. We asked to share an order of fish and chips and the waiter said absolutely. The fish was very flavorful and the tarter sauce was fresh made. The... More
