Top of the mountain, spectacular view

Book ahead of time on a sunny day for lunch so you can enjoy the view. Tasty food, service satisfactory but not spectacular.

My husband and I decided to check this place out for our 1 year wedding anniversary. He called made a reservation a few weeks ahead of time. We got there it was a warm day, we purchased our tickets for the gondola, kind of pricey. Was $40+ for us both. We were early so we walked around the shops, and... More

We tried our luck and came out here while on vacation in January. The weather was terrific and in the 40's at the 5,000 ft level and after taking the gondola up to the summit at 7,000 ft the temp was actually 51 degrees on January 4th. Incredible. The views can't be matched Mt. Ranier right out the window at... More

Dined at Summit House in September on the way to Mt. Rainier. What a View! We rode the gondola up the mountain and witnessed a spectacular view of the Cascade Mountain range skyline. Mt. Rainer, Mt. Baker, Mt. St Helens, and even Mt. Hood were visible with binoculars. The food was average, but the view more than made a trip... More

Dining at Summit House restaurant in the middle of the summer is a big treat. If you're a hiker, enjoy an excellent hike with gorgeous views and then treat yourself to a scrumptious meal and cold, frosty brew. It doesn't get any better than that. Even if you're not a hiker, you can take the gondola to the same destination.... More

Love the view. One of the best al fresco lunch site. Food is average-presentation is awesome, service is average too ,there is a long waiting. We made our reservations from the gondola station and were luck not to wait. Eat here for experience -gazing at snow clad mountain with wine will make your day.

We made reservations for 1:15 however we arrived early and were thrilled they could accommodate our earlier arrival. Seated on the ski slope side of the dining room, it was a beautiful setting. Food is amazingly good, we had steamed clams and the Hiker Wrap, very filling and very tasty. If at all possible, make the reservations to have a... More

Love the view, like the service but the food is average. For that special view I would prefer better food and presentation and way better coffee :) Please work on it, owners of the restaurant!! I bring my out of town/country guests cause the views are amazing and gondola provides a great experience as well but would prefer better food/presentation... More

It's a great place to view the mountain but I found it overpriced and not worth it! The outside sitting area is nice on a sunny day but you can sit in the chairs for free outside of the Summit House.

The main point of taking the gondola up Crystal Mountain is for the view. It is not for high-end dining. This is the case for most ski area mountainside restaurants. You can't beat the view here; the people who built the restaurants wisely made two sides of the restaurants all glass. Few mountainside ski restaurants have great food; the point... More
