Good for: Families with children, Outdoor seating
Dining options: Reservations
Description: Set in country style garden surroundings, the pub offers a large car parking area with ample of outside seating for those sunny days. Coupled with a large childrens play area we also have pet ducks and chickens often wandering around the place. We are dog friendly and allow them into the bar area providing they are well behaved and on a lead. Inside the pub has a traditional feel about it with period features, exposed beams, hot fires for the winter months and low doorways, so do mind your head! We serve British pub food and always aim to surpass our customers expatiation but in the off chance if something is not quite right please do let us know so we can do our best to rectify things.

We stopped in for food. We found polite, friendly, happy staff. The food was "decent pub grub" and of great quality. Can't go wrong with this place. I'd happily stop in for a pint any time.

In a short sentence to describe what was meant to be a night celebrating.... It was a total waste of time and to be honest the food was appalling! Frozen chips, peas, onion rings which was advertised as "home-made" was poor and also what was advertised as a "sirloin steak" was very poor (made me think if it was british... More

Friendly staff, but this place has gone to look & feel tatty, which is a shame, as it used to be a great place to eat. Years ago you would be lucky to get a seat on a Saturday night....feels very run down now.

Arrived by accident, needing sustenance. What a find for dinner. Limited, dated (?) menu. Six or so Starters, eightish mains, plus a specials board. I ordered the Lamb Torte from the specials as the menu read as a basic pub grub list, my better half had the duck from the specials. As the tables around had their dishes delivered we... More

Went there last year and had a great meal. Went there again this year and it has gone downhill alot. Had a steak that was full of gristle and no taste with frozen chips not homemade as promised. I would not recommend this place. Chef and management needs to be changed to someone who is experienced and knows what they... More

I went to this pub with my son and friend, we had a well cooked rump steak burger and the chips were to die for! got chatting to the lovely helpful barmaid who informed us there was a new chef just started, and the menus are being revamped, cannot wait to come back to try it! the play area is... We went on Sunday for the carvery. Beef & Lamb joints. Lamb very fatty. Beef ok but cold. Veg selection ok but roast pots & parsnips soggy (not crisp) and cauliflower sauce tasteless. Sweets were no better. Strawberry pavlova consisted of a meringue nest filled with almost liquid fake cream, admittedly topped with a cut up strawberry. The chocolate fudge... More

I went to this pub purely out of interest, as I like to know where all my local pubs are. I went into a warm cosy little bar which was quiet but still welcoming. I bought a pint of the local brew and had a look though the menu. It was pretty good and vast, the specials board looked tasty... More

Where do I start ... Place was dirty and smelt of grease ... We ordered starters which tasted ok but took over an hour for 8 of us .... Then our mains took well over another hour ... And I and a friend had ordered well done steaks ... Both were dripping with blood upon arrival ... We sent them... More
