We visit this restaurant once or twice a year, sometimes as a couple, or with our children and wider family or friends. I have never had a bad meal and would thoroughly recommend it.

Have been visiting for at least 10 years, probably twice a year and have never had a poor meal. Jean delivers consistently excellent meals with a menu that changes every three or four months. Had a smoked salmon and crab cenelloni to start which was served with artichoke leaves-fresh, light and lovely-a real summer dish; duck in a cider broth... More

We had the privilege to be invited to lunch by a very dear friend. We arrived at 12:30 & left at 17:00 having enjoyed a long, slow & delicious French lunch. No minus points - just superb.

You cannot fault the attention to service nor the construction of the menu. The price is reasonable for the aspirations of this restaurant. I just felt it tried too hard and was just too stiff. We went for lunch and would have appreciated a simpler lunch menu alternative. Maybe less staff but more personal interaction or even a friendly host... More

In the words of Tina Turner, "simply the best". Came for lunch to celebrate a birthday. The setting is beautiful, plenty of outside seating in glorious grounds the interior modern fused with antique. Service excellent, can't fault it. The waiters speak English and tolerated my schoolboy French with kindness. The food! Presentation, a picture on a plate. The taste sublime.... More

Been coming to the Moulin de Jean for 15 years. Simply my favourite restaurant in the world. Amazing food which always looks and tastes wonderful and attentive, friendly staff. Beautiful weather this time meant we could eat on the terrace, surrounded by lovely countryside.

We ate here whilst on a short break to France. Wow! You must eat here, fantastic food and service and very reasonable. The tuna carpaccio was delicious as was the rest of the meal. Will definitely return!

We were taken to Le Moulin de Jean by the owners of the gite we were staying in, about 15 minutes drive away. We would never have discovered it for ourselves, but were very grateful to be taken there (and back!) so that we could enjoy a drink with the superb food in a lovely rural location.. The restaurant is... More

We visited this restaurant with family on 29 September at lunch time. The food was exquisite and was possibly the best meal out in a restaurant we have ever had. Beautiful canapes were provided compliments of the chef and then each of the three courses was wonderful. The pork fillet, the duck and the skate were all excellent and everyone... More
