The hot drinkd are fine.

It was a bitterly cold day, so we only enjoyed hot drinks, twice. The interpretation Center was not very busy, so on both our visits for drinks the cafeteria was empty, so no complaints

the staff seemed a bit dreamy and the service was slow. The soup was OK but the worst thing was the awful decor with an overhead lighting system that looked awful

Great Cafe! Chef Robert Crosschild did an amazing job with the deluxe buffalo burger--juicy and delicious (which in less talented hands, this lean meat could become dry). The fries were crisp, seasoned, and delicious... a great lunch experience!! I wish I had also tried the homemade bison stew or chili with the fresh baked bannock. It looked and smelled heavenly..... not much in the way of choices and even worse the food was served cold. We had indian tacos and they were terrible. Basically just a greasy piece of deep fried dough with standard taco toppings. I am fairly certain that the aboriginal people never ate cheeze, lettuce and tomatos on a piece of greasy bread.

My wife and daughter and I stopped in to visit Head Smashed In and found the cafeteria to be a great place to relax between viewings of this world class facility. The prices are in line with other museum food outlets and the food is good. especially the buffalo stew with bannock. Very tasty. The burger and fries are good... More

Very tasty burger and good fries. We planned to stop for pie after our tour but unfortunately they were sold out by then.

My parents and I found the food very fresh, tasty and filling. It was a little pricey for a cafeteria ($10 for buffalo stew and bannock) but it is similar in any museum or heritage center in Alberta. I assume the proceeds go back into maintaining a world class facility.

This is a heritage quality facility - yet the cafeteria is stuck in the 1970's - with pathetic choices and a "take it or leave it" attitude. Way gone time for a new manager to upgrade this place to match the quality and experience of the exhibit. Get some good quality food and beverage available - including cappuccino machine. They... The buffalo chili was lukewarm and the bannock was dry like it was a day or two old. The buffalo burger was mediocre. The best part of the meal was the fries... Portion size is small for what you are charged.

For a quick serve this was a very slow restaurant. And is pricey for what you get. It would be nice to see a better variety of fresh foods and less fried. The bannock was the best thing I ate.
