Good, hearty food

My parents and I found the food very fresh, tasty and filling. It was a little pricey for a cafeteria ($10 for buffalo stew and bannock) but it is similar in any museum or heritage center in Alberta. I assume the proceeds go back into maintaining a world class facility.

This is a heritage quality facility - yet the cafeteria is stuck in the 1970's - with pathetic choices and a "take it or leave it" attitude. Way gone time for a new manager to upgrade this place to match the quality and experience of the exhibit. Get some good quality food and beverage available - including cappuccino machine. They... The buffalo chili was lukewarm and the bannock was dry like it was a day or two old. The buffalo burger was mediocre. The best part of the meal was the fries... Portion size is small for what you are charged.

For a quick serve this was a very slow restaurant. And is pricey for what you get. It would be nice to see a better variety of fresh foods and less fried. The bannock was the best thing I ate.

On a hot summer day, the only bison dish available was a stew. What would have been much better was to offer more aboriginal foods, such as bison jerky. Aside from the stew, the rest of the food offered was standard fast-food cafeteria fare.

The cafeteria is what you would expect when it comes to looks, the food is really good, we had the buffalo stew and the buffalo chili with bannock, good portion sizes and well done. The staff is also very friendly.

We really liked the bison burgers. The facility is clean and well run. Also, the gift shop had lots of memorabilia.

The food is very good and the prices are very affordable. There is even buffalo stew and buffalo chili.

As the title suggest, the menu is limited. Food served is mediocre. They need to offer more variety.

This cafe style eatery was clean, but service was slow. My stew was lukewarm, but had good flavor. The bannock might have been made a couple of days ago as it was dry. My husband's buffalo burger was very good. Prices were high enough for what you got. (a small plate of onion rings was 6.95)
