Great food, lovely service, breakfasts/brunches and salads are the best I know. I don't mind waiting for fresh food and it was so busy when i went. I waited about 25 minutes which considering how busy was amazing. I totally recommend this place

This is a neat little restaurant in Gibsons which is run by a young couple, he is the gourmet Chef, she serves the front. The place is warm, friendly and you are certainly made to feel welcomed. The other thing that is great about the place, your allowed to bring your own wine and there is no corkage fee. I'm... More

Went to Saltwater for a holiday lunch with my staff team! Food was phenomenal, everything is so fresh, with amazing local ingredients. I am only sad I haven't discovered this restaurant before. Everyone's dishes looked amazing and the flavours were top notch. Can't wait to go back!

I have lived on the Sunshkne Coast for 17 years and walked into Salteater to meet a friend for lunch. What a wonderful lunch. Everything is fresh and as local as possible. The owner is a couple who chose to leave the frenetic Vancouver restaurant scene to raise their young son and have a life beyond just a restaurant. But... More

He is as rude as chef Ramsey, but to patrons. Reservations? I supported your business for years and now i can't even drop in fire a chore and a slice of toast without a reservation. Pathetic. Your tables say reserved yet very few actual customers made a reservations and the tables sit empty. You say you are open till 8... More

The food is excellent here, particularly breakfasts. Best egg bennies ever. BUT the service is poor and not for lack of experience. We were kept waiting for 45 minutes while the server told us that everything was being made fresh for us. We peeked in the kitchen and our food was sitting on the grill, already prepared, while the chef... More

I will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. After this summer I have taken my mom once and was made to wait more than 45 minutes for a clubhouse sandwich. I then tried to take my relatives here twice and was turned away! TWICE within 4 days, although the restaurant was not full at all and the tables... More

Excellent food. Great quality ingredients and does not disappoint. Great view from the deck and cosy inside.

This little restaurant tucked away on Gibsons Way just blew us away with it's excellent food. It is a mum and pop restaurant, the menu is not extensive and they only serve breakfast and lunch BUT the chef makes his own mayo, has home made hamburgers, cures his own corn beef for his Reuben sandwiches, and so it goes. The... More

This was our second visit to the Chophouse(formerly Blackberries) and the food and service has been superior in both cases. For lunch today the boys had the bacon cheesburgers with fries and I had the club sandwich with salad. On the previous visit we had the classic breakfast. The food is from quality ingredients and smoked and prepared on site... More
