Amazing Fish, Soggy Chips

Came for some fish and chips with my husband and was greeted and served by the owner of the restaurant. We ordered the ling cod. The owner suggested that we share a two-piece order since the fries portion is so ginormous. Our food came split into two baskets of fish and chips; how considerate. The... read more

Wonderful fish and chips, not too much batter and they serve the BEST coleslaw ever. She makes her own dressing.

Used to be the best fish and chips in town. Terrible now! New owner better improve or they won't make it in this small town.

It's a cute place with personality to boot. The owner does the cooking & talks to you the whole time she's deep frying your fish or a yummy corn dog. The serving sizes are big with a basket full of REAL French fries. We will go back again & again.

They have the most tasty fish and chips ever. I subbed the chips for a whole bunch of salad. Going again because we wont find it once we leave Gibsons.

Codfathers poutine is worth its weight in gold. No kidding one of the best poutines i have ever had. Huge portions. Great friendly service. This will become a traditional stop on the way to the ferry.

The chef is a weirdo and didnt leave us alone so try get it to take away! He didnt stop talking about his cooking skills, we didnt ask. Sounds rude but honestly he was so full on. Especially for people who have already chosen to eat there. Perfect fish and chips. They know their stuff.

We ordered take out and got a mixed seafood bundle of yumminess. The homemade onion sauce for the fried oysters was REALLY good!

My husband and I really wanted to love the chowder here as we live in Gibsons and want to support local restaurants and we love chowder. The chowder here was a great disappointment. The broth was buttery and not two thick but that is it! Other than little shrimp ( the kind you get in a can) and corn we... More

The fish was great as was the batter. The chips were hand done yet just adequate. Do NOT let them talk you into the poutine. Absolutely the worst ever because they think they can improve simple food with the wrong embellishments, in this case seafood chowder. The staff would not stop talking about how great they were. I'll judge that... More
