Good Italian food in Gibsons

I love going to Sita's! I find their menu has a pretty wide range of items for everyone to find something to enjoy. My favourite dish is the Cajun Catch of the Day. All their pasta dishes I've tried have really good flavour. It's amazing and I always end up taking half of it home with me. We... read more

If you are looking for a "home cooking" dining experience, Sita's is the place to go. My advice is to stick with the Italian items from the menu - pastas and pizzas. That's what they do best. The "Asian" options like curry mussels, chicken curry pizza, Thai chicken bowl, and red Thai shrimp and cream pasta are bland. Sita's is... More

Service was good, I unfortunately became quite ill after eating a cream sauce with shimp. I won't be returning

I came here with a group of 12 friends to have some pasta before a half-marathon. We made reservations for 6:30 p.m. Our reservations were in place over 3 weeks ahead of time so the restaurant was well aware that there was a decent sized group coming in. We arrive about 15 minutes before our reservation. We ordered by 6:45... More

Thank you for taking the time to write. As an owner of a family run business your heart drops when you read a review like this. My sincere apologies. We were on day three of rolling out our first huge menu change in twenty years, it was one of those nights in the restaurant business when the bus load gets... More

We found that this restaurant, that looked lovely and authentic, was serving very poor quality food. We had a pizza and pork ribs. Both were very disappointing, especially the pizza, covered with a layer of rubery cheese matter.

First qne star in a looooong time. As an owner you cringe when someone writes something like this. We work so hard at building up our clientele and reviews like this I take personally. $15 pizza considered way overpriced? We use 100% mozzarella and brick cheese on our pizza with no rubbery substance ??? We obviously missed the mark some... More

Thanks for the positive vibes! We are working hard at becoming Gibsons #1 dinner destination. Open 7 days a week from 4pm. Hope to see you for dinner again soon. Cheers Dino Sita More

It's that owner Dino Sita writing you back to say thanks for sharing your story. Glad to hear we hit the mark with food and service. After eighteen years in the kitchen I love being out on the floor interacting with customers like yourself who spend their hard earned money at our establishment. We are in the process of a... More

Arrived for dinner after a long day travelling. Not a pasta fan but did have a vegetarian penne dish that was quite tasty. Husband had Thai pasta & said was excellent! Portions are very generous but quite pricy. Certainly worth the visit when in town!

If you like authentic Italian food you can forget this place and keep driving at least to Sechelt (where you will find the Old Boot). However, if you want something that will definitely fill your belly at average Sunshine Coast prices, this is it. The portions are good; some of the pasta dishes are good (but it can change, depending... More

Your strongly worded review has left me speechless. Wont get into the specifics of what ingredients you claim we use or... More

This is a local favourite although most people will find it pricey. Food is usually good as is the service. The portions are not big either. They are only open for dinner in the winter.

Thank you for your review. Interesting feedback on portion size being smaller as this is not something we are known for. Next time through hopefully we can crank up the WOW factor for you and for Sita's. Cheers Dino Sita More
