Description: 902-660-3090 - must add this to the list, a choice for people who do not want fast food nor pub food nor ok chinese. Huge surprise to find this delightful restaurant in this town. Lovely watercolors by local artist, guitar player - excellent food - went back twice in 24 hours - supper was beautiful haddock, rice and veg $12. Went back for lunch - yummy panini $8 , chowder $6 and salads $8. Very reasonable

Avoid this place and especially the food. The service is sweaty and the owner is pretentious. My overall review is based on an experience I will never forget. Thanks for the opportunity to warn all.

we found Bella's via trip advisor and the review held true. We both had the seafood pasta and were amazed at the amount of seafood - lots of it and it was all cooked to perfection. As a Nova Scotian (visiting this area) I am particular about fish being cooked properly and they got it right! Carrot cake was pretty... More

We often hold small meetings at Bellas. They always accommodate us in their cosy corner. I have tried many of their entrees but must say their Seafood Linguine is very tasty. Nice desserts too.

I'm not sure why or how - but Bella's coffee is my favorite tasting coffee - and I've been all over Canada & Europe. Any time I go there I order 2 coffees, drink one immediately and take the other home. I mostly go here for desert, and it's delicious every single time. The servers are wonderful and it's a... More

Worth the effort to come off the freeway to find the bistro. The food was great and the service was friendly and good.

Ate here twice whilst we stayed in Amherst. They have live music on a Friday which gives the restaurant a nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff, good food and service, for a small town like Amherst it was a good find.

Thanks to Trip Advisor, my friend and I found Bella's Cafe and Bistro on a recent trip to Amherst, Nova Scotia. Bella's is a charming little spot in downtown Amherst. The food and service were great! I ordered only a salad and an appetizer rather than a full dinner, thus the four stars. The lasagne I saw on another diner's... More

We were in amherst overnight and there's not much choice in this town. But Bella's came through with great friendly service and a nice straightforward meal. I had the seafood chowder which was yummy. Hubby had the haddock, which was fresh and tasty. They close early but we're not rushing us.

We stopped in today at Bella's Cafe & Bistro on the drive from Lunenburg, NS to the Inn at Bay Fortune in PEI. It was a pleasant surprise. The food was home made and very, very good. I have likely the best chicken salad sandwich of my life thus far! One recommendation though, if you can make a reservation. When... More
