I first discovered Truffle Pigs in 2010 when I was camping in Yoho National Park. It was cold and raining, so we decided to ditch the wet hot dogs and find a hot meal. We weren't expecting the wonderful menu and great service of Truffle Pigs! This place is still one of my all time favourite restaurants! My boyfriend and... More

If quaint, quiet, pretty and delicious are up your alley, then you'll love it here. Almost everything about the bistro is fantastic, except for the vegetarian fare, which we usually prefer to order. It was disappointing. The server we had (a man - so friendly and hard-working) was excellent. The hotel rooms are clean and nice. We've been twice -... More

Had lunch on the deck on a stunning Summer afternoon. The food was the best we had in our Banff-Lake Louise part of the trip. I would make a point to go back there if/when we get within 100 miles.

Our group stopped for lunch and had the soup (turnip) and the mac & cheese and fish & chips. Mac & Cheese was impressive very rich and creamy, obviously home made. everyone said the fish & chips were great as well. Very well displayed/decorated plates and good service for an unexpectedly large group on a Sunday afternoon. Off the beaten... More

I stopped here with some colleagues, some ate, some just had a drink. The food looked good although, as usual, the vegetarian fare was limited and uninspired hence why I ended up not eating. I was shocked, however, that my glass of mediocre, nothing to write home about, wine cost $15 + tax. This is not a remote mountain lodge... More

I enjoyed the meal. Would give 3-1/2 stars. Service was friendly though a little slow to seat me. I had a Angus burger and fries. They have a sallow menu but all are well presented. The view is fantastic also.

On our drive from Banff to Golden we were in search for a descent place for dinner. Our lovely B&B proprietor at "Home Lodge" in Golden, recommended Truffle Pig, what a rabbit hole that was....but I'm glad we went down it! Blink and you'll miss Field, we found the village okay and the hostel, but for some reason we didn't... More

This was probably one of the best culinary experiences I have had in a long time from all aspects atmosphere, service and the six course meal. Over the top! Well done and super happy to have started new year with such a wonderful experience!

We had eaten at TP about five years previously, the last time we stayed at Emerald Lake, and remembered it fondly enough to return this year. Well, we liked it so much (including our 9-year old daughter - good kids' menu...) that we returned three times on our week-long trip! The setting is comfortable - warm, cozy restaurant ensconced in... More
