My wife and I stayed and ate here. The food was creative and delicious. There was plenty of variety for such a small town. We would come back.

This is the only restaurant in Field - there is also an excellent diner - and they seem to be relying on the lack of competition. First impressions were negative based on the "off-hand" welcome, these were reinforced when after being told that our chosen wine was not available we were offerred/recommended an alternative at almost twice the price and... Nope!!! In the tiny village of Field, BC (pop. 169); located 33 km (20 miles) west of Lake Louise, Alberta is the Truffle Pig. We were headed to Emerald Lake (also a 5-star visit) and this place was recomended. We are so glad we stopped. They have a truly gourmet menu and the food and service was terrific. The pork... More

We stopped in Field for lunch and visited Truffle Pigs Bistro, and discovered a little gem in the rockies. Simply put the food was fresh, tasty, and great value. The bistro is part of a little lodge, which I am sure is as well run, as the restaurant. What was amazing was that I ran into a family who was... More

We stopped for a dinner there after a day of rafting. The place was suggested to us by our rafting guide. It has been an amazing surprise! The place is very cute and the staff very polite. The food was amazing, cooked with passion and with some ingredients not so common in Canada. It has been a real surprise find... More

We stopped in for an early dinner after hiking and checking into our guesthouse. The guesthouse owner suggested we go as early as possible to get a spot, glad she did as we got the last two seats at the bar shortly after 5:00. (Tables did open up again around 6:30 for those willing to wait) Friendly bartender, good Canadian... More

My husband and I were out for the day in Yoho NP and stopped here for lunch before heading back to Banff. First of all, the waitress was friendly and the service was great. We decided to get the beef brisket platter. It was "out of this world." I felt the presentation was gourmet but the price definitely was not.... More

This is the second time we have stopped in for dinner and I would not hesitate to recommend Truffle Pigs to anyone. We started by sharing the hot and sticky Phuket Lamb which was incredible. We then had the 48 hour Bender Elk ribs and the evening's special pork medalions wrapped in bacon. Presentation was delightful, flavour was excellent. One... More

The food smelled incredible. Unfortunately, one of the wait staff misdirected us and then forgot about us. In the meantime, the restaurant closed for the afternoon break and we were left hungry. However, it worked out in the end because it allowed us to discover the delicious food at the cafe across the street!

We went for a drink one evening and tried the Thai Fish Cakes, not as great as we expected as they were wrapped in some sort of pastry or wonton wrapper. However we went back for lunch the next day and had the Wild Prawn pasta and the Wagyu Beef Burger which were both delicious.
