Me and my husband just got back from our vacation in the mountains and we stumbled upon this absolute gem before making our way to Emerald Lake Lodge. This restaurant is absolutely amazing, from the staff who are soooo friendly and willing to make you feel right at home to the spectacular food that they serve. it was just an... More

We went to Emerald lake and stopped by Truffle Pigs Bistro for lunch. Several people had recommended it to us, so we decided to try it. Boy, am I glad we did! It was crowded, which is a good sign because it's definitely off the beaten path. We sat at the bar, which was fun because we got to watch... More

We found this restaurant a mere 50 metres from our guesthouse and were greeted at a late hour by fantastic service and the food was outstanding. All 6 of our party were satisfied beyond their expectations. This quirky little town of Field provides an ultimate alpine dining experience.

With a population of about 180 we did not expect to find a restaurant of this standard in such a small place. The food was really delicious, would recommend the duck confit and shrimp tacos. The service was warm and welcoming and we would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I had heard and read a lot about Truffle Pigs and how great it was so during our stay in Field, I wanted to try it. If you are staying in the attached hotel, you can make a reservation otherwise it is first come, first served. We ordered the mussels to share at 16 dollars CDN and the Chef's Special,... More

Three strangers told us to try this place. It was a bit pricey but it was very good food in the middle of nowhere. The menu has a quasi fusion blend to it. Most of us had a meat dish, one was a bit tough, but the rest were very good. Side dishes worked as well. Gluten free works. We... More

This place was a real surprise. First of all, the decor is interesting - papier mache flying pigs hanging from the rafters! The menu isn't large but the food was great. The best part of this mean was our waitress, a lovely young woman from Montreal. She was so friendly and enthusiastic. We will definitely make the trip to this... More

We were lucky to have an outdoor seat and enjoy the beautiful July evening. The service was good as was the food. It was pricey but worth it. The menu is fairly small but has something for almost every palate. I also had dessert--the brownie sundae is definitely worth it. Despite the cost, I would definitely eat there again.

Field is a tiny township just off the very busy main trans Canada highway near Lake Louise. Passing travellers should not miss the opportunity of tasting the superb food that is served at the quirky Truffle Pigs Bistro. My mushroom tortellini dish was served in a piquant green pepper sauce which I was able to completely clean up with a... More
