...because it is a very small, slightly scruffy, place but really good real food with artistic presentation. Good prices and good staff, except perhaps one very tall and equally arrogant man! But he wasn't much in evidence so all was good. It seems to be part of/attached to a mountain lodge which I suspect would be a great place to... More

While visiting Yoho, we stopped for lunch in Field, a tiny railroad town in the middle of the park. and found this little gem of a bistro serving very creative and delicious food. I passed on the soup of the day with a giant hunk of homemade bread (although it sounded and looked delicious), and opted for the pear and... More

Overlooking the railway tracks and river in this mountain town, this place is great. Menu is limited but everything on it is freshly prepared and looks great. Soup was first class, sandwiches very creative and the nachos were a work of art. The service is very attentive and the place is clean and decorated appropriately for a mountain lodge. We... More

There aren't many places like this around so considering the surroundings, a very small village, this was good. Service was very friendly and setting very nice. The food was good but not special and quite expensive.

After rafting in the Kicking Horse river this was a fantastic way to end our day. We pulled into Field expecting.... well not expecting this! What a great restaurant, excellent food friendly staff and interesting decor. We had a party of 8 and had no problem getting our varied orders done correctly and on time. The full experience right to... More

A place like Field in Yoho National Park, less than 500 inhabitants, is host to the cutest cafe with incredibly creative, partially organic and vegetarian food, but gems for meat lovers as well. Staff is friendly, wine is great, prices are reasonable, and scenery is wonderful! Will visit again!

We stopped for lunch here on the way to Revelstoke and again on the way back to Calgary. The food was amazing and the service was also very good. Not to be missed if you are driving past Field or staying at the Lodge.

We were staying at Emerald Lake Lodge and after a day of hiking and geocaching decided to stop here for supper. The food is amazing and the creativity of the chefs shines through in presentation and flavours, we had the seafood appetizer to start and I could have had it more and more. Our mains were the lobster and shrimp... More

Enroute to Calgary we needed a break so stopped in Field. Alas we weren't very hungry so we just ordered the soup. It was fabulous and beautifully presented. I'd love to come back for a real meal sometime. The decor is whimsical & fun.
