My food was good (a rice bowl with tofu -yum), but my teenage son found his food only ok. He did however love the lava cake dessert. I found it expensive overall, especially since the service was a mix between "help yourself" and "full service". I had to get my own water and go to the front desk, wait in... More

We had one day in Yoho National Park and didn't want to drive to far for our meals e.g. to Golden or Lake Louise. At the same time we didn't want to pay extortionate amounts such as you may pay if you stopped at Emerald Lake. Therefore we headed to Field. We hadn't done our research very thoroughly and didn't... We visited Yoho NP and stopped by the Visitor Center for maps etc around midday. The staff highly recommended The Siding and we were not disappointed. Very good soups and sandwiches as well as daily specials. Our server was prompt and attentive. A fun local spot for tourists

Cheap (for the area) burger/panini/wrap and chips (sorry, "fries"). Chips fantastic, the "nothing but chicken please" burgers still had the garlic mayo on so that had to be scraped off. Chicken burger was at least a whole chicken breast rather than reconstituted meat, so bonus marks there. Chips were great. Get there early if you want a seat that isn't... More

We stopped at The Siding Café on our way to Golden from Edmonton. The café has a little hippie feel to it and is located in the quaint town of Field. The food is good but a bit pricey, but that's to be expected in tourists haven. We shared a chicken, fig and brie panini with fries and a Siding... More

People are always friendly, the food is great (especially with the upgrade on the dinner menu), and I love that they have a good selection of local beer too. Never had a bad meal there and their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are addictive. Service+product=worth the price of the meal.

The lattes are great andso is the food. Great food for hikers and travellers. It is small but has outside seating to enjoy the views in seasonable weather. Very casual stop. Check out The Velvet Antler clay studio next door.

We stopped in right after arriving in Field. We have been here several times before. It is small but smells of home cooking. The sweet potato soup I had was awesome and perfect on the rainy evening we had!
