Very delicious food and friendly service

went here after a day of whale watching and was not disappointed. Beautiful scenery, sat outside on deck at 6pm. Very friendly waitress. Enjoyed the calamari, lobster bisque, chicken, and special cod dish of the night. prices were a little expensive but worth it for the quality of the food... read more

Thank you Sandy and Chef Jon, Jed and other servers and staff for a truly memorable wedding reception. We booked the Bistro for 40 guests and enjoyed the outdoor patio that overlooks the marina, as well as the lounge and dining room. Chef Jon had control of the menu and treated us to four different appetizers, four entrees, and a... More

We enjoy eating at this bistro because it has such a nice setting. We have had good meals and a great dessert. The server does not seem interested in her job or her customers. I agree with the other review but we found her mostly disinterested in her job such that she does not seem to be a good fit... More

This bistro treats people terrible. The owner does not think twice about telling her husband off in front of her customers. The food is over priced and small portions and is a hit and miss if it is good. She treats the boaters from the marina as second class Will never go out of there way to say hello. Awful... More

I've eaten in this restaurant 4 or 5 times and enjoyed it every time - so, it's time to share a recommendation. This restaurant offers a very nice dining experience: a soothing view across the water overlooking a couple marinas, boat traffic, a sawmill on the opposite shore, passing bald eagles and low-lying mountains in the background; it's large enough... This fine restaurant is located on the edge of Ladysmith Harbour and offers great views of the sunsets. The food is very good and the service was delightful. This restaurant is part of the "slow food movement" and purchases as much of their ingredients as possible from local farmers, fishers, beekeepers, ranchers and flower shops. If you are into supporting... More

Seaside and Marina View. Great friendly service. We could have dined here a third night. We tried the uhi tuna, fish and chips, clam chowder, and seared cod. All were excellent. Pub area and dining area. Beautiful must go place. In late March, off season, they were closed Monday & Tuesday otherwise, we would have returned for a third meal.

Went here on a snowy (for coastal B.C.) late November weekend evening. Place was surprisingly (and worryingly) empty premise (just 7 covers by the time we left). It was dark when we got there so we can't comment on the view over to Ladysmith (it's a long way there as one has to drive around the inlet). Given the lack... More

A very handsome restaurant right on the harbour looking across the bay towards Ladysmith. It was very quiet on this late November Friday evening. We had nice service by a fairly attentive young man. The wine list was big enough and fairly price. We shared the calamari to start and it was excellent - fried crispy but ever so tender... More
