More than just coffee!

We were looking for a place to eat on a Sunday afternoon in the winter and stumbled across this little gem. Nice and bright inside, we enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was fresh and tasty. Not a huge menu, but a little something for all taste. The coffee was excellent and so was the service.

This little coffee shop is located in a building that was once a bank. The cooler is the old vault and you can always bank on a friendly smile from the staff and a great cup of coffee along with fine food and tasty treats. A great location to meet friends for coffee. Everything is great from the food to the staff. Lots to choose from and everything seems very fresh. Even live music on occasion!

we discovered this coffee "by accident" and were absolutely pleased by the kindness of its owners, the service and the product. Even special requests as lactose free milk were taken into consideration. The menu is handwritten on the blackboard and proves orginality. Definitely a place to go when in need for a nice cup of coffee

This small out of the way is the best coffee roaster and grinder. The coffee even tastes as good as the aroma of fresh roasted coffee. Menu selection is great. Try avoiding rush time as space is limited

This is our coffee stop now on our trips up-island. Always good coffee, a great bakery display (although no GF when we were there) and the menu is pretty extensive. The food takes a while to prepare, but it is fresh, very tasty, and there is lots of it. Their GF bread, baked on-site, is the best I have ever... More

I have stopped in several times, mainly for a coffee and muffins, but this day I decided on a breakfast. I was not disappointed, the scrambled eggs were cooked correctly, lots of homemade panfries in stead of those awful frozen cubes… and wonderful coffee, and a muffin to go, around $10.00, what a deal!! Of course, having a newspaper to read made... More

If you are tired of the monotonous menus of fast food chains, check out the Beantime in Ladysmith. Easy access if you're heading south on the Island Highway; it's just a half block up High Street which intersects with Highway 19. The coffee is freshly ground on site, the food is made in their kitchen, the bread is home-made, and... More
