Early day coffee is mandatory. When in Ladysmith, this is the place. We were driving down island to Victoria and were very stressed by a caffeine deficiency. A menu of many choices met our expectation, I for coffee and, her, for tea. We were tempted by food options and added lunch to the mix... read more

Drive, run, walk, crawl if you have to. Excellent, hand crafted food with enough variety to satisfy almost any craving. If you're hungry in Ladysmith, look no further.

I've had several almond milk specialty drinks here but non live up to an adequate standard. Understeamed and bland. Though the comforting and warm atmosphere is what keeps me coming back.

We were delighted to find this fabulous coffee shop in Ladysmith. The coffee is good and the selection of scrumptious squares changes daily. The service is excellent and the seating is cozy and comfy. The only problem we had was in deciding which treats to enjoy....so we will definitely be back!

We were en route "up island" and wanted to stop for a coffee. We discovered this lovely spot in Ladysmith. We decided to have a snack with our drinks. The lemon muffin, brownie and other treats were delicious. The regular coffee was good, as well as the island fog. The room was pleasant and not noisy although there were quite... More

I have a pretty high standard when it comes to coffee. The coffee here is good, not memorable, but good. Very friendly staff and relaxed, comfortable setting.

We stopped in for a quick bite and had a wonderful filling bowl of soup. It's casual yet cozy. All the other food looked fresh and appetizing. We were delightfully surprised with the quality of the cafe.

My partner took me to this cafe the other day as I haven't tried a pumpkin spice latte before. My goodness was I ever in delight! Honey as sweetener, real flavours, loaded with cinnamon and it tasted REAL; no syrups, chemicals, etc. Worth the wait :)

Have popped into ‘In the Beantime’ three times in the last year and enjoyed each visit. The staff have always been very helpful and friendly; the wraps / paninis / sandwiches / soups always tasty (the pulled pork panini I had the other day was delicious); the dessert offerings varied and plentiful; the art pleasant and fun; and, coffees ....
