My husband and I had dinner at this place last night on an over- niter in Lunenburg. What a joy ! My daughter recommended it to us many times and finally we got to partake. The service was top notch! Our waiter was fabulous and very helpful with choices. We had Thai mussels that were delicious and the lobster fetticini, bowl... More

This little deli has a nice patio overlooking the harbour. I had a delicious spinach salad($10) and my husband had the mussels and a pint (less that $15). These mussels were the biggest I've ever seen! The waiter explained that this is due to the season (early July). The food and the atmosphere were a pleasant break.

As a Lunenburg resident I've been to all the restaurants in Lunenburg and this is the most consistent I attend. Food is well-priced, and the place is owned by the same people who run the much higher-scale Fleur de Sel, so the menu is always creative and delicious. Favorite is the smoked salmon club and the Thai chicken pizza, but... More

For casual lunch try the Salt Shaker Deli. It's location is overlooking the Lunenberg Harbour and there is an outside patio available. The menu is varied from mussels, smoked salmon, lobster rolls to lobster macaroni and cheese also varieties of pizza. I tried the red beet salad with goat cheese and arugula ,it was delicious. The most outstanding item on... More

My husband and I were delighted to discover this sweet little place during our travels through NS. Fresh, good quality and absolutely delicious! The service was excellent despite it being a very busy day for them. Would certainly return again.

That is, I forgot much of what my friends and I ate there. The Lobster Mac N Cheese was so heavenly, it is all I can remember! I do remember sitting on the deck, enjoying the view and some kind of blueberry cocktail but if you get the chance, you have to try the Lobster Mac!

The Salt Shaker is best known for it's One Pound of Mussels and a Pint! The owner explained that early spring is the best time to catch the mussels that are caught daily. . This delightful deli welcomes you with smiles, aromas of wafting cooking mussels and their award winning Seafood chowder. My first visit was in the Spring of... More

My wife and I ended up here by accident after trying to go to Magnolia's on a day they were closed, and everything we had was outstanding, from the chowder, to the pizzas, to dessert! We will be back on our next trip to Lunenburg for sure!

I went for lunch & had very good chowder. I came for the seafood linguini but found that it was only available for supper. A gaggle of No RVs signs had me leaving the town so I never got to try the linguini.
