Went here for lunch the other day. Not fantastic. I ordered the scallops and onion rings, and my uncle ordered the fish & chips.... scallops were unavailable without being breaded... so that was a turn off, and my uncles fish and chips were crunchy they were so over cooked. Service was decent, not a licensed venue, but I was expecting... More

So, I am not sure why I look at the menu when I go to Big Red's, If you are looking for something different try their Pizza Donair. It is always a great choice.

I just ate one of your pizzas, ordered from the Lunenburg location through takeout. I have to tell you that I am so disappointed by the pizza. For a 12"pizza with 2 toppings, mushroom and hot peppers (probably the two cheapest toppings no less) and extra cheese, a total of $21.10 is way too much. The quality of the ingredients... More

We always enjoy eating at Big Red's. This is casual dining, and while lots of people order pizza, we nearly always have fish, either fish and chips or baked fish with rice or baked potatoes.

We got pizza and salad to go. Everything was ready when we arrived to pick it up. And, the pizza was hot. However the tomato sauce on both pizzas was very sweet by US standards. In fact, we wondered if barbecue sauce had been mixed in with the tomato sauce. Maybe it's how pizza is supposed to taste in NS... More

We had lunch on the patio. The staff were friendly enough but the food wasn't anything to write home about. Kids grill cheese was small and mangled, and kids burger was a bit charred. Appy scallops were good and was seafood chowder was average. A bit pricey too, but I guess you pay for location.

This place has a really nice little patio overlooking the marina. The vibe is very mom and pops and we liked that. The pizza was quite good (the house sauce is a but sweeter than normal) and came at an awesome deal - 2 for 1 for certain sizes.

The sauce is way too thin and sugary - like ketchup on dough. Service is good and view is great, but even my kid won't eat this pizza!

After spending a bit too long at a souvenir shop, we found ourselves running out of options for dinner on a Saturday. The "obvious" fish and chips places were closing already, and places that were open were mostly on the expensive side. We decided to have something "fishy" for dinner, and we picked "Momma's Chowder" and fish & chips. This... More
