Best. Chowder. Ever.

This has become our "go to" place when we can't decide where in town to eat. The staff is friendly and they know what they're doing. We recently ate for the first time at the Rum Runner restaurant. The service was fast and friendly and all four of us had very good meals. We will definitely go back again.

We thought that the food would be reasonable but sadly the chef must have been on holiday! For starters, we had scallops that were warm but not particularly tasty. My wife had mussels in garlic and white wine sauce.....the sauce was like water and almost tasteless the the mussels were so small that a microscope would have been useful...they also... More

A very nice place to end the day if that is what you are looking for. Good food, reasonable prices, and a great location near the waterfront. Good service too.

We didn't get what we thought we were ordering, but what we did get was delicious. We ordered chicken piccata over angel hair pasta. In New England chicken piccata means plain chicken marinated in a lemon sauce with capers. In Rum Runner Restaurant we got, slices of breaded fried chicken. The sauce on the angel hair which had capers and... More

Weekend getaway for 3 friends. We stayed at the Rumrunner Inn and ate at the Restaurant. My Seafood Linguine was absolutely yummy. Our server; Taylor, was attentive and knowledgeable bringing with her, a genuine personality. Love getting to know the locals and their stories. One of the ladies came back to the deck to hang out the next day and... More

Had dinner last night at the Rum Runner Restaurant. I have to say I was disappointed, we are there 2 years ago and I knew it had changed ownership. The previous chef was amazing, my meal last night was nothing short of poor. I had the pork ribs came with 6 small ribs and pieces of corn on the cob... More

In some ways, The Rumrunner has it all. The decor is jaw-dropping, a pleasant surprise after you descend the spiral staircase to the basement level. It's tastefully appointed and welcoming. The service is great. Our server Jill was professional, friendly, helpful and empathetic. The food is succulent. The shock is what you get for the price. We started, and quickly... More

I am very sorry about your experience in our restaurant. At least, you enjoyed the taste of the food. Again, I like to express my regrets but I am not a "unconscionably greedy" person. Eva Ziegler More

Restaurant is right across the street from the docks. Nice outdoor deck to enjoy a drink or dinner. The seafood we had was fresh and tasty. Friendly service

We were 13 strong for unplanned lunch, it was very good.. Service was excellent, one young lady looked after the group of us, and made most feel special! She sat with us and showed my brother how to eat Atlantic lobster! good fun, we sat outside first for drinks, then wondered through the museum to lunch!
