My husband and I had dinner at Magnolia's on a recent trip. We sat on the patio, which has a view of the water if you sit tall in your chair. We ordered chowder (one scallop and one clam, I think). It was ok. For dinner, I ordered the lobster linguini and my husband the fresh halibut, which was highly... More

We came here for lunch after having two people recommend this restaurant to us. We sat on the back patio. I had the lobster roll along with a clam chowder, my husband had the lobster roll along with a chowder (I can't remember which), my daughter ordered a ceasar salad and my son the peanut soup. My daughter found the... More

We had about a 15 minute wait on a Saturday night. We were seated outside on the back patio. We spent a week traveling around Nova Scotia, eating seafood at every opportunity. This restaurant had the best seafood chowder we tasted anywhere. The rest of the seafood dishes we ordered were also excellent. Service was very good. Prices were slightly... More

I found the restaurant uncomfortably hot (no A/C) and the seats overly small and uncomfortable. Decore was whimsical with signed photos of celebs and memrobilia. The salt & pepper shaker collection was a nice touch. I didn't enjoy the burger but others enjoyed their meals. The burger had too much on it and was too messy to eat. Having it... More

We returned to Magnolia's after some time since our last visit and to found that it was as good as ever. Remembering that there are often queues for tables, we arrived for an early dinner at 6PM. We both ordered the same meal, namely our favourite fish cakes with salad, followed by key lime pie. Both were excellent. The service... More

This was one of the best meals we had on our trip. Everything was great...scallops, large lobster roll, peanut soup, etc. We were lucky enough to sit out back on the patio overlooking the waterfront. Our server (Meva?) was outstanding.

We dined late one evening at the Magnolia Grill. My husband and I both enjoyed the scallops which were a daily special. Fresh, delicious and wonderful. We contemplated starting our dinner with either a salad or a cup of soup. Our server urged us to try the curry peanut soup which was outstanding. Service and ambiance are both wonderful at... More

Lived up to the reviews and from "you gotta eat here". Scallop chowder had more scallop than potato and fish cakes were light and tasty. Lobster linguine was worth the cost. Michelle was a great staff member to deal with. Only complaint was we had no room left to eat the desserts. Would come back to Lunenberg just to visit... More

Had a friend visiting from Calgary, and decided to take her to the very scenic Lunenburg. We had never been to this restaurant before, but decided to stay when a couple leaving the restaurant told us to "definitely eat here". I was so pleased to see Solomon Gundy on the menu, what a classic Maritime appetizer! I ordered the clam... More
