What a great pub! We went here one night for dinner. Great menu, lots to chose from and very good food! Highly recommend if you are in the area and are looking for pub style food. We had the Fish cakes, a Chicken Caesar salad and mozzarella sticks and all were very good.

My wife and I have been searching for "our spot"....we've been close with several places, but not quite there. Well, a few years ago we found it in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The Knot Pub has the perfect atmosphere for us. It has a seafarer's or nautical theme, which is cool, but for me it is more like a quaint English... More

We stayed 6 hours one day, came back the other - and we've had a blast. The prices are reasonable and cheap, the servers are the nicest and the food is fresh and delicious. We had fishcake, knot burger, pub club sandwich, mussels, mozz sticks, salmon burger and everything was just perfect. The waiter recommended good good beer and was... More

This is where the locals eat. Half the price of the restaurants along the harbour, and better food for the most part. Very relaxed and casual. We were in Lunenburg four days and ended up eating here three times, including for our last meal before leaving.

Knot Pub is in a converted bike shop with old additions to make the area bigger. The design adds character but also makes one area darker than the other. It is a popular pub that was recommended to us by our B&B host. Service was friendly but only ok. The kitchen knows how to do fish and chips (great batter,... More

If you like sand in your mussels, this is the place for you. 4 in our party ordered mussels as an appetizer. The mussels were served with sand and grit still on them. Because of the high rated reviews, we dug in any ways. For each of us, anywhere from 40% to 50% of the mussels were inedible because they... More

Very authentic pub feel that felt great. We all ordered mussels and salads..... The mussels tasted great.. As long as you ate a mussel that had been cleaned. Most of the mussels hadn't been rinsed or had their beards removed before cooking and all if that grit ended up inside them. Not a pleasant experience.. The salads were ok but... More

Suggested to us by a local, we visited the pub twice in two days. It has a warm friendly atmosphere and a variety of comfortable seating. We did not eat there so I cannot comment on the food. I could see this becoming my favorite pub, if I lived in the area.

The Knot has plenty of pub charm to share. The food was tasty and the service was well executed. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered an Irish Red on draft which complemented the roast beef sandwich perfectly. The rest of the family enjoyed the fried haddock, a chicken club and a Greek salad. All met our needs. Delicious!

It was like something off a movie - we walked in and EVERYONE turned around and looked at us!! lol - It was so funny.... 2 young englishmen walking in and one with bright ginger hair!! Once we'd relaxed and got a table, we realised we were the only tourists in there! Which screams this place is awesome. This place... More
