A Wonderful Addition to Lunenburg

With out a doubt, LSF has the best ambiance, menu & food in Lunenburg. Paolo has successfully converted what was a former diner, into a chic and happening restaurant, not unlike what you would find in New York, Montreal or Toronto. Even though it was off-season, Lincoln Street Food was packed on the Saturday night my wife and I visited. We grabbed a couple of seats at the bar, which I always enjoy because we could watch Paulo and his team hard at work preparing some of the best food we've had anywhere in quite some time. (Lincoln Street Food wouldn't... More

We had reservations elsewhere in town but walked by the restaurant in the afternoon so we went back to our room and cancelled the reservation we had. So glad we did...just make sure to make a reservation at this restaurant as it does fill up. We had the prix fixe menu and everything was pleasing to the palate. Erin was... More

An early dinner before a local concert. Prix Fixe menu was superb with tempting alternatives. The service was speedy without being rushed. The Short Ribs were tender and succulent, with vegetables from the local market, and an imaginative sweet potato risotto. We look forward to another dinner here.

We had planned to eat on the waterfront for the view, but the place was closed. So we wandered in here without reservations on a busy night. The only place to sit was at the end of the counter - down near where they were washing dishes. We got a view! The kitchen is a tiny place right behind the... More

What a pleasant surprise! First, the clean lines of the modern interior of this restaurant are in sharp juxtaposition to the old wooden buildings lining the streets of Lunenberg. Then, the delicious locally-sourced dinner expertly prepared - especially the scallop starter - blew us away. Desserts didn't disappoint either. Too bad Lincoln Street Food isn't in Ontario!

Beautiful food with luscious flavors.... For starters, my husband ordered the Seared chili scallops and I had the Roasted beets with hazelnuts and goat cheese. Our dinners were the rice paper wrapped tofu with risotto and the Seafood bouillabaisse in a fennel saffron broth. Dessert was a plate with three dessert selections: a chocolate torte with cashew cream, an upside... More

For those of you who have eaten at Edna in Halifax this place will remind you of it. The Chef has a history with Jane's restaurant and an obvious link to the old Jane's cuisine and the new Edna cuisine. The restaurant was full and the service was very good. The portions are adequate and the ingredients are fresh and... More

Back in Lunenburg unexpectedly so we had a second chance at Lincoln Street Food just to see if it lived up to our first visit in August. Well, it certainly did---- if anything a bit better. The chef owner and his staff ( hats off to Amy ) excel at what they do ---- which is to serve up some... More

My husband and I were on a date night and decided to try out Lincoln Street Food. The food was served wuickly abd the presentation looked great until I was half way through eating my lamb when I discovered a live bug. We flagged the waitress over and she took the plate away. A couple seconds later another lady came... More
