My family and I ate at Le Cheval de Jade over the Christmas break. It is a very small and quaint little restaurant. My family is Gluten and Dairy free and we were easily accommodated. My kids didn't care for what was on the menu so the owner offered to make my daughter a roasted chicken and my son Duck... More

We had a delightful a la carte meal at this cozy and inviting restaurant. The menu was sufficiently varied that it catered to the rather eclectic tastes of our small group. Whether it was their signature duck dishes, their seafood dishes, meat dishes or even their single vegetarian dish -- they were all superb. The recommended wine pairings well complemented... More

I am very sad to say that we were disappointed in this restaurant after reading all of the rave reviews. From the soup to the vegetable salad to the main course, it was all just average and not at all a culinary experience. The service was very good, however the staff was tired after a long busy holiday period. It... More

Have to give this husband/wife team and their attentive staff an A+ for making our Christmas Eve such a great night. For starters, we had an 8:00 P.M. reservation. The restaruant itself was cozy and intimate. There were other families, couples - dressed nicely and the mood was festive. We were greeted most enthusiastically by the hostess/owner - Frederique. She... More

We visited in early August 2014. This is a family run small restaurant. Not pretentious at all but superb food and presentation and a very well designed a priced wine list. We toured fine restaurants in both Montreal and Quebec city. This little country spot outshone them all and was our favourite: utterly charming. The Chef presents himself as a... More

We had a delicious meal at this family run restaurant, where our dietary particulars were honored with such enthusiasm and perfection. You really felt like a welcomed guest in their home. The amuse bouche was a sumptuous sampling of what was to come. The fish soup with all it's accompaniments - herbed mayonnaise, crispy toastettes and grated cheese- so beautifully... More

We had a fun evening, enjoying a tradition that we have little access to and had never experienced. My husband had the foie gras as a starter and enjoyed it very much.

I paid the bill and din't say anything but I had the most awful dining experience here. WE reserved but were placed at a table that we found out was infront of a place that they did a presentation during the evening. People surrounded me, I couldn't hear my own table, the back of my neck was hot because of... More

Hello Madam, We are sorry that your evening was spoiled by the demonstration of Duckling à la Rouennaise. You reserved by phoning during the evening to get a table in a short delay, for 8.30pm and arrived at 8.15pm. When you called, I explained to Mister that the table was already booked and therefore available from 8.30 as people were... More
