My husband and I were in Renfrew for the weekend because he was riding at the Calabogie racetrack. We drive from Greenwich, Connecticut and realized that it was a small town but after trying 4 different restaurants we were losing faith in finding the total package...until we stumbled into this hidden Gem. The service was great and the food was... More

I had a fantastic salad from the new menu tonight. It had beautiful smoked salmon, capers, red onions, tzatiki sauce and a light vinaigrette dressing on the greens. Probably the nicest salad I've had at a restaurant in a few years. The portion was huge. The owner made us a Greek dish of seafood and pasta; it was delicious. It... More

We went here for the first time while in town getting supplies for our remote cottage. The service started off a little dicey, my bottled water was opened and had been drank and my husband got regular Pepsi instead of diet, but everything was quickly fixed and very friendly no problems. I had the coco risotto which was delicious and... More

We're pleased as punch, Travel-Do F, that you enjoyed your time at Coco Jarry's. We thank you so much for your honest review, as we always strive to improve. For the beer battered fish, do you think fresh dill mixed in the batter would pizzaz it up? More

While shopping in Renfrew we asked a salesclerk for a suggestion on where to have dinner. She recommended Coco Jarry's as her favorite place in town. We had a pleasant time and found the food to be good. My spouse had pizza and raved about the crust although I found it tasted more like pie crust rather than pizza crust.... More

Hi Khaleesi_1, thank you very much for sharing your recent visit to Coco Jarry's. We're ecstatic to hear that you'll be back! Yes, the pizza dough is made in-house and we just changed the recipe and we've had many compliments on it. You're right about the spice on top of the nachos, it's chili powder. The salsa is made fresh... More

The food was wonderful - but it took a long time to get it. I had the crab cake which was a total surprise in the way in which they served it - a lot of crab in it - but they had mixed in fake crab with the real and you could taste the difference.

Hi Paula, thank you for commenting on your recent experience at Coco Jarry's. We're happy you enjoyed the food and we apologize for the wait. Unfortunately this year we've been struggling to find a good, solid summer team. Our core team are burnt out from too many hours in the heat, and we've resorted to hiring students with absolutely no... More

Food was really good, service was great. I have never had so much chicken on my plate for any meal anywhere but I was surprised that tzaziki did not come with Greek chicken. The home made peppercorn gravy for my wife's steak was marvelous. The 80's music is not our favorite. We will definitely go back.

We're so happy you had a great experience at Coco's, preacherray! Thank you for sharing it on Trip Advisor. The tzatziki is an extra (like gravy) because we've found not all Canadians are into the Greek yogurt garlicky dill goodness that it is. As for the 80's music, we have a wide selection of tunes so next time you're in... More

La chef vous traite comme un membre de ca famille! Once a week we cross the river for groceries. Every now and then we treat ourselves to a really nice meal at this famous Renfrew restaurant. It's not a fancy place but it has charm. The plates are huge, tasty and fresh. I don't think anything is pre-made because we... More

We were in the area skiing during our yearly Canadian trip. Stumbled across this place which was almost hidden by pine branches lol. We had a very nice meal and a few post ski drinks.
