Edmunston's flavours

My girlfriend and I were looking for a great local place in Edmunston during our trip out east to try local food and beer and we were not disappointed!!! Great food, great prices, warm service from Sabrina, beautiful scenery of the Madawaska valley from their impressive patio. Don’t miss out that... read more

The Vieux Poele has been around for quite a while and have consistently delivered quality food with amazing service. They have hired quality chefs throughout the years and the staff represents the typical warm and friendly brayons people of Edmundston. And finally they are also a great venue for music and entertainment! During my last visit they even improvised to... More

A local recommended this restaurant when I asked where I could get a good "pub steak". I got the perfect steak -one of the best I have ever eaten! Cooked superbly to medium rare, melt in your mouth char flavoured accompanied with an amazing salty/spicy steak sauce. The side salad included olives and bacon with a wonderful house dressing. Our... Communication problem although the waitress did try. We asked for a green salad - she said Caesar (we said no), we got Caesar. Oh Well. The food wasn't bad, but it was kind of dark and we weren't sure what the cage was over the bar with the spotlights.

This was our second visit to this restaurant in the last month as my sister and I had been there visiting sick relatives and decided to stop here for supper. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable as far as the menu was concern. We were both craving a good burger we followed her recommendation and she was absolutely right. The burger... More

I'm assuming that this place can get a lot busier during the week - with perhaps a different menu from what we had on the pub side - which is why it's called a "Steakhouse". We were there late on a Sunday evening, and the food that was served was VERY good - especially for a pub - but not... More

We just stopped here in Edmundston on the way to Halifax and wanted to eat somewhere local, not a chain restaurant. This was tricky since it was a Sunday around 8:00 pm and most local eateries were closed, but we found this place and were pretty satisfied. I had the Vieux Poele cheeseburger and was pleasantly surprised at how good... More

My husband and I shared the Quesadilla appetizer--not huge but tasty. My husband had the full rack of ribs--very large with fries...very tasty ....25.00. I had the chicken Caesar wrap with rice which was very good but pricey for a sandwich at 17.00 IMO. They also give you a little teaser of 2 ployes instead of rolls. My husband and... More

I'm not sure if they only put steakhouse in their name because they have steak on their menu. But I would not say it's a steakhouse. Pub food from freezer yes. They do make their tartar sauce for the frozen fish and chips but that's it.
