We had the platter - $50 - we'll worth it. Our server was good. We sat on the deck - I had a view of 2 dumpsters - overall I'd recommend this place and look forward to our next visit.

Really fun atmosphere, one of the better places to dine in Fernie. Always busy so you need to arrive early and for large groups over 8 it is good to book a room.

Food was very good. I wanted to try a bit of everything on the menu, it all sounded so good. A great atmosphere and wonderful service, thank you to Krista.

This restaurant serves sushi that is inviting to anyone who thinks they don't like sushi. There are many varieties that include steak. I don't like raw fish, however, you don't have to worry because there are tons of options for meat eaters. Our server was fun.

It was suggested we go here for dinner by friends that live in Fernie. Words can not describe how much we enjoyed our experience at this establishment. Go early, eat lots, savor it, enjoy great company and amazing dishes that make it hard to stop ordering and trying each dish. Great business, our next visit we won't wait for our... More

We had sushi and were very satisfied with our meal. There are numerous "traditional" and more eclectic options, both of which were very good. I wouldn't say the sushi was mind-blowing, but it was fresh, creative, and well-executed, and much better than I'd expect in a little town. I don't doubt that Yamagoya deserves its #1 rating.

After a challenging hike to Lizard Lake we cleaned up and headed to Yamagoya, the number one rated restaurant in Fernie. We arrived at 4:45 pm, fifteen minutes before opening. By the time it opened there was a lineup! We sat on the deck, and selected a table nicely screened from the late day sun. Every bite was delicious! We... More

Went here based on trip advisor reviews, was not disappointed! My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the sharing plate (yamagoya black). Perfect summer meal, delicious miso, fabulous sushi, and ice cream to top it off. Highly recommended!

Love going to Yamagoya - easy to find on the highway going through town, delicious food, quick service and a discount if you arrive by bike! They have a great selection of both traditional and modern takes on sushi. Worth the wait if there is one, nice patio.
