A nice little bistro

This has been a regular hang out spot of mine for fourteen years. Decent pasta and soups if you're hungry for a bite, or ask the waitress to recommend a beer.

I liked the place; the waitress was very nice and always available for us. The restaurant is well decorated. HOWEVER, the food is bad - I am sorry - the soup du jour was just horrible, the one you can buy in stores (Knorr soups). The salad was the one from a plastic bag, no taste, nothing!!! I will come... My husband and I had a wonderful dinner on the patio. Our server was attentive but in no way over bearing and friendly. Prices are reasonable and the food was perfect. Overall it is one of our favorite restaurants in Gatineau

Love their beers and apple cidre on tap. Great menu, try the french onion soup. Can get rowdy at night, always an interesting crowd. Good looking waitresses, good place to get DRUUUUUUNK with my friends.

I think the key thing here is home made high quality food. Great menu, but honestly, have either daily special. Great draught selection, eclectic music and staff who know their job. It's got a true European feel to it as well as an old Hull vibe.

As one of the only places in Gatineau open between 230-5pm we were starving and well fed once we ordered, great selection with freshly prepared food with fresh produce.

This place was recommended to us by the tourist information centre (opposite the Canadian Museum of Civilisation). A 10 minute walk away, surrounded by drab looking office buildings, is a strip of eclectic eateries in a quaint neighbourhood where you'll find Le Troquet. Soups, salads, sandwiches and pastas with a Quebecois twist. Good, fresh tastes with friendly service, a bar... More

What can I say about this Jem? It is to be experianced not described. Try the soup, port, and our favorite the coffees and cheesecake. please try to be unobtrusive, it is simply magic.

Staying in Ottawa, but came over the bridge to Hull (Gatineau) for lunch before driving back to Toronto. Restaurant very busy and we were lucky to find seats. It soon filled up and people were waiting for a table, or going elsewhere. Casual dining, but delicious food. Service perhaps a bit slow, but friendly. It almost felt that they needed... More

I liked their desert and music... it's not a place for haute cuisine... but specialty tea's you can find. Comfortable.
