Good Thai food restaurant in Gatineau

The 1st time, the food was excellent. That was why I came back again. But the 2nd time, the wrapped chicken (with a leave) wasn't good: raw inside & burnt outside. Recently, I went there for the 3rd time: the pieces of beef were too thick & tough. I also went twice to the one in Ottawa, it was much... More

We had a great sampling of dishes for a group of six, with prompt service, hot food, and excellent sauces. The old house setting is comfortable and roomy for groups, with cosier areas for couples etc. Generally I think the meat and vegetarian dishes are better than the seafood, the green curries are also the best. The soups aren't the... More

The restaurant was very busy the cold damp evening we attended and it took a few minutes to get seated. The service was very thoughtful however, and our server spent some time with us going over the menu. I must admit the pace was slow, but we had nowhere else to be. Relax already (said this to ourselves a few... More

Curries were good and Thai Ice Tea was good, but I was really shocked how expensive the restaurant was for Thai food. A panang curry with a bit of rice and thai Ice tea were close to 25 dollars if I remember correctly.

Located across the street from the Canadian History Museum, this restaurant is a little gem. The building used to be a house, so seating is scattered in a few areas… actually adding to its charm and helping keep the atmosphere cozy. Outdoor seating is available during summer, almost doubling capacity. I have been here many times and find the food... More

There is a full range of traditional Thai dishes here, prepared to whatever heat you happen to like, with care, and the dishes feel fresh and homey, as if they were being made both for the first time and as they have been made for generations. They use covered china pots for serving the rice, and these kinds of touches... More

Have only eaten lunch there twice, but both times was not disappointed. Enjoyed pad thai and then a coconut curry. Portions are on the lighter side, probably because it is lunch fare. Am looking forward to returning again. Directly across from national museum, great location. Just have to find your parking!!

Well done Thai food across from the Museum of Civilization. Comfy patio and friendly waitress. Our order arrived promptly and was very satisfying. There are a few more Green Papaya's over on the Ottawa side.

We ate here before visiting the museum right across the street, and it was nice. The food itself was tasty, we ordered from the lunch menu, all noodle dishes: a pad thai, a pad ki mow, and a kwaytiaw bangkok. They were served in lovely bowls/plates and my kwaytiaw bangkok was great. We ate outside on the patio area, and... More
