Good homestyle food

We stopped in here after a long drive through the bush with the kids. 4 adults, 5 kids. The staff was helpful and service was decent. Food arrived fairly quickly. Burgers were good, but almost (not quite) tough. Very meaty, and satisfying after a long day outdoors. Meal size was ample... read more

Went to the Alamo after reading the good reviews on here. I don't know why this place was getting such good reviews but the place is not worth 4 stars. The service was awful, took 5 minutes to get a menu. Table was dirty and asked for a cloth to clean it ourselves as server did not check. Also had... More

Stopped in here for a late lunch. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious - sandwiches are made on homemade bread and they serve real brewed sweet ice tea.

My husband and I visited the Alamo Restaurant and were so impressed with the food. Everything is "home-made" with quality and fresh ingredients and wonderful flavours. The Alamo often hosts "specialty items" for special occasions (i.e. New Year's, St. Patrick's Day) and is the social hub of the village of Kersley. Owners Roland and Terry Sawatsky have done an amazing... More

I ordered a meal - mashed potatoes, gravy, the works! Best meal ever! Partner ordered a hamburger deluxe. Best hamburger combo ever! Service rocks!

This place is an absolute gem! Spotlessly clean (including the washrooms) and it has that "old-world" solidness about it. The staff were very helpful and the service was efficient. I ordered their Cobb Salad and was in for quite a surprise. It is HUGE. Must have been a quarter pound of ham a full chicken breast and a couple of... More

My girlfriend and I stopped for breakfast at the Alamo on our way to Victoria in November. What a great meal. I had eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and ham while my girlfriend had eggs benedict. Everything is home made at the Alamo. The bread for the toast is freshly baked and you won't find hashbrowns from a bag or hollandaise sauce... More

Perfect if you're looking for a good home cooked meal. Not super fancy but good sized portions with lots of local flavour. If you want advice on local attractions ask here and you'll get input from everyone in the place.
