Dining on a Film Set!

We had the four-course dinner tonight, almost in the middle of a film set. (Hallmark Films had taken over the entire House except for the restaurant for two weeks, this was towards the end of the first week, and it was obvious that restaurant staff were Not Happy!) It was a novelty navigating our... read more

A bit of a casual setting but fabulous, fabulous food. Everything cooked to perfection. Local organic and very interesting and different menu choices! Loved the seafood choices and stinging nettle soup and sorbets are out of this world!

The owners do so much more for our community that most people will never know. They are much more than just a business that puts taxes in the pot! They have a wonderful menu at an affordable price for locals. Just give them your address. They host many, many non-profit organizations, providing space and much more. In the Tourism world... More

Every once in a while we treat ourselves to a meal at the Sooke Harbour House. It is never a disappointment. The food is to be slowly savoured for all the varied and unique flavours. It is always a pleasure to walk the grounds to enjoy the edible and beautiful gardens interspersed with all kinds of whimsical and beautiful pieces... More

One of the best meals we've ever had. However, quite expensive, but worth saving up for. Excellent service, made to feel like returning special guests.

Menu changes daily. You get a four course meal, with three choices for each course. Each course, including desert, has an abundance of fresh greens (they grow much of their own), other vegetables, and seasonings. I've never had so many flavors in every dish. Well worth the visit, but pricey. We were there on a Saturday evening and you have... More

Sooke Harbour House impresses me every time I go. The rooms are charming and comfortable, the view is lovely and the food is divine. Imaginative menus and expert preparation of local ingredients mean you will discover new combinations every time you dine there. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner or a weekend away from home.

Found a package that didn't make the room that cheap except for the generous amount of credit that could be used for the restaurant. That said, we dined in the restaurant (watch for the days that it is open - closed 2 days a week) with the meal paid except for tax and wine. The 4-course prix fixe meal is... More

The welcome was warm, and service was relaxed, professional and thorough throughout the evening. It's December, so too dark to see the ocean in the evenings, but the lawn and the trees were aglow with little lights, and we were delighted to be visited by two little deer just outside our window. And the food - oh my goodness. The... More

A true gastronomic delight, carefully prepared and graciously served awaits the visitor at Sooke Harbour. Superb menu and views that allow the diner to see a sunset over Washington's beautiful Olympic Mountains make this trip very special. Bon appetite...enjoy the wines and the ambiance.
