We loved the customer service and the food at Mom's. So much so we had to eat there three times. Pies were to die for. The sour cream pancakes were not my favourite, but the eggs Benny by far were. Amazing Hollandaise sauce. Huge portions!!!

Again, seemed like a locals place. Good food, friendly wait staff, generous portions. Save room for homemade desserts.

We returned to Mom's cafe in Sooke a few times for breakfast. Lots of selection and choice--Belgian waffles, eggs and potatoes. The servers were all efficient and friendly. It's a diner so expect a solid quality with nice portions--nothing fancy, but definitely good food at a fair price.

We ALWAYS eat lunch here when either coming through or staying near Sooke. Always good food with good sized portions. They remodeled the restaurant some years ago and it has lost just a wee bit of the old charm but still clean and interesting. Great wait staff. Will return.

We had 2 mornings in Sooke and both were spent having breakfast at Mom's! Whole family loved it, place was PACKED both mornings (weekdays), portions were huge! Menu selections is great - a lot of variety. The potatoes are the bomb. Great eggs benedict variations too (bacon, salmon). I had traditional ones and they were awesome. I may never make... More

Wonderful little 50's style cafe. The food is great. They were out of the cream sauce for their seafood pasta. We asked if they could make it with a marinara sauce, they were happy to do it. It was fabulous...better than most cioppinos we've had. I had the fish tacos...also great. Perfectly cooked Halibut in a soft taco shell with... More

This diner is like going back into the '50s. They have a large menu, so there is always something you will like. I had 'The Ivanator' burger, a burger with hot sauce and jalepenos peppers dressed with feta cheese. It was quite spicey and it was very good. The others had the BC burger and it was also very good.... More

5 star if you're looking for a homey 50's cafe style restaurant with delicious home cooked meals at decent prices. However, if you're looking for a fancy romantic spot then MOM's isn't it. We loved it.

Lunch: BLT was very good according to my partner; my Reuban was okay but would have benefited greatly by more pastrami. Very much a "family" restaurant.
