This diner is like going back into the '50s. They have a large menu, so there is always something you will like. I had 'The Ivanator' burger, a burger with hot sauce and jalepenos peppers dressed with feta cheese. It was quite spicey and it was very good. The others had the BC burger and it was also very good.... More

5 star if you're looking for a homey 50's cafe style restaurant with delicious home cooked meals at decent prices. However, if you're looking for a fancy romantic spot then MOM's isn't it. We loved it.

Lunch: BLT was very good according to my partner; my Reuban was okay but would have benefited greatly by more pastrami. Very much a "family" restaurant.

You have to really look to find this little out of the way café with excellent food. Terrific quesadilla! My husband really enjoyed the jambalaya as well. No room left for their specialty of home made pie that looked so yummy. Next time we'll go just for desert! Open for all meals. Family friendly. Jill

I enjoyed breakfast here. The food was definitely tasty, but pretty basic. My one disappointment was that when I ordered "chocolate milk," it was actually white milk with the syrup mixed in by the waitress. I found the prices to be a little bit high. Our waitress was amazing and had such good energy - that part I definitely have... More

Good burgers and other choices, standard fare but make sure to get the lemon meringue pie. Atmosphere is like a 50's diner. I have been many times and will return. Dan

We had breakfast here after a quick overnight in Sooke. A great little diner with history. Great breakfasts, fast, fresh and delicious. The pancakes are wonderful, the short stack is plenty. Real maple syrup. Great service.....

Went in with my wife early afternoon last Monday June 9th. Nobody else in the place. Ordered mussels in cream sauce and calamari. Food came fairly quickly which was nice since we were forced to listen to the two servers and the bookkeeper loudly talk shop right beside us for the 10 minutes it took for the food to arrive....... Mom's is a long-time establishment in Sooke. We haven't been there for dinner, but both breakfast and lunch will fill you up for hours. It is real down-home cooking with huge portions. And, they have local fish and meat. Recently there for breakfast, my ham and mushroom benny was done to perfection. I don't think I've ever had better poached... More

We go to Mom's at least once a year and are finding a few glitches. My Mom cannot eat corn and many of their soups; like the chowder and the beef barley soup had a substantial amount of corn so she could not eat her lunch. We went there for Mother';s Day and they had a seafood salad on special.... More
