Mom's Cafe has an old-time diner feel, which has its place. The smoked salmon alfredo dish I ordered, however, tasted bland and had no personality at all. My waitress, who may have been "mom" herself, was pleasant and attentive. I would not, however, return here for an entree. I would, on the other hand, return for the pie. I had... More

Good, friendly service. Really feels like a locals spot, which is fun from a visitor's perspective. Food was fresh and not greasy, which can be the case at some "diners". We had a piece of the Apple pie and from a serious pie critic, my mom complimented it, which NEVER happens!

If you were at Mums fifteen years ago you probably have memories. Not the same, guess most places aren't? Nothing really wrong, just nothing stands out as excellent.

Staff were very welcoming and good-humoured. Gave me a taste of the local beer before deciding if I wanted a whole pint. It was delicious, by the way. I had salmon and chips, my husband had the burger and poutine with the works - bacon and cheese. We both had an enormous slice of pie afterwards. Never seen anything like... More

We stopped at Mom's before going zip-lining, so we resisted the tempting desserts, but our food was delicious. We ordered sandwiches and poutine, as well as some chicken. My husband remarked on the freshness of the salad. The salmon corn chowder was excellent.

My husband loved the 70's decor. The food was okay, large quantities, little bit expensive for the quality we got.

Everyone in Sooke knew and loved the place many years ago. It doesn't have the same atmosphere and the prices are too high.

A friend and I went to Mom's yesterday .. neither of us had been there for quite a few years and we were looking forward to a simple lunchtime meal. Mom's has had a number of ownerships over the years .. most of them have retained the original simplicity of the cafe. We each ordered the wild salmon/corn chowder, delicious.... More
