Ultimate Patio Ambiance

We have driven by for years and finally decided to stop for lunch. It was Saturday, and surprising not too crowded. If coming from the east, you cant turn left into the restaurant. You have to go a few more blocks and do a u-turn. We enterred the main restaurant and were surprised that it was... read more

Great food every time we have been here. Great service and we love the patio.Worth the drive to eat at this establishment if you are staying in Sooke, or you are driving between Victoria and Port Renfew.

Our lunch was Gourmet food with a reasonable price - a water view from both the inside dining room and the outside patio. The atmosphere is casual - the food exceptional. My husband had the Mango Pork Taco Salad. Generous portion great flavors. I ordered the Harvest Chicken Salad, also a generous size. I loved the mix of all the... More

The location of this restaurant is handy when travelling the west coast, just off the main road, but you won’t be troubled by traffic noise or vehicle views whilst in the restaurant. The restaurant overlooks a lovely little bay, which is a huge draw for this place. The fairly spacious patio is bound to be a big hit in a... More

We went here back in January and absolutely loved it. I read all the reviews about the bad service before we went the second time and thought nothing of it - but believe me, it is beyond bad! We asked for spicy ceasers which were black with worsteshire and not spicy at all. The mussels appetizer we got was much... More

What ever you do don't go to the Mother's Day Brunch. My husband took me and all my boys with their partners last year. I was way over priced, the food horrible and the service just as bad. I know I sound harsh but it is all true. It's been a year and none of us have been back nor... More

I've eaten here about 10 times and love the location, especially if you can sit outside. It's also a great spot to stop for a break if you're cycling on the Galloping Goose. However, I've noticed that the last three - four times we've been the food has gone downhill, with yesterday's visit being the worst yet. The food is... More

Our son and his family live in the area and he recommended this restaurant to us. We treated everyone to dinner and we were very pleased with the experience. It wasn't busy when we arrived, with just 3 tables seated and only one girl acting as hostess, server, and bussing the tables. The service was good however and we are... More

We were driving the Pacific Marine Route this week and by the time we got to Sooke it was time to eat. At the information centre it was suggested that we might like this as it has big windows overlooking the Sooke Basin. It is at the north end of the town. Except for the trees, it looked like a... Just visited today. The food was fresh and delicious with bright lively flavors at unpretentious prices. The service was excellent and the view and ambience second to none. I have had several disappointing dining experiences lately and so this last minute lunch was an absolutely delightful surprise. I highly recommend this refreshing and fun establishment.
