Quick stop for a late breakfast but decided to have a sandwich, Croque Monsieur, instead. Proceeded to fall in love with the best ham I have ever tasted in my 61 years! Brought ham, and other treats, home to my husband and he totally agrees with me. We shall be making the drive from Gatineau to stock up from time... More

I had not been since the fire a few years ago and it was great, best ham, bacon, beans rustic bread. Generous portions so go there hungry! Service was great, 20 minute wait on a Sunday, so very efficient. Bravo, bring on the Maple syrup.

Always a wonderful meal. A whole page of menu just for selecting your type of coffee. Café latte comes in a large bowl. Old log cabin ambiance with a central fireplace burning real logs in the centre of the dining room. Small deli area where you can pick up maple syrup, jam, pates, ham and other delights to take home.... More

This was a super cute, rustic place...perfect for a snowy February morning. Although a little touristy, the beans, smoked ham and cretons were top-notch. You do pay for what you get (and be sure to check your bill as we were charged for items we did not order) but I'd definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

I returned to the Petit Poucet after 35 years because I had moved to Ontario. The warm, rustic atmosphere and the smiley waitresses were just as I had remembered. Although there was a fire five years ago, they rebuilt the restaurant to look just as it had in the past. I had seen line-ups at the restaurant on weekends as... More

I live in North Carolina now but I grew up a few miles from this wonderful restaurant. It burned to the ground a few years ago but fortunately, they rebuilt in 2007. It's an institution in the Laurentian mountains (about 50 miles north of Montréal) and people flock to it especially on weekends. They're open for breakfast and lunch only,... More

I'm from Brazil, but just moved to Quebec and for New Year's brunch we went to Au Petit Poucet and it was a real Quebecoise experience. Amazing food and the ambience was priceless! Specially recomend the "Tortiere" and Maple Beans...wow!

This restaurant was entirely rebuilt a few years ago. They kept the original look. Food is tasty with a Quebec flovor. If you like maple sirup, it's the place to go. They don't take reservation, so if you goto this place in the week0end, you can expect to have a 30 minutes wait, but you will not regret it. Best... More

Wanted to have dinner here one night but the restaurant was only open until 4:30 pm in the afternoon. It looks appealing but I could not get a meal. It maybe because it is off season at the present time. So try it other than in late October. Good luck.

After a worthwhile wait of forty minutes we were assigned our table beside the welcoming fireplace. We ordered onion soup and tourtière which was excellent. Waitress was pleasant and our order came quickly and as ordered. We ordered the appetizer portion for the tourtière which came with some salad greens and sweet relish and also had a side order of...
