Very, very disappointed. First we tried the crab cakes, which were not even cooked, still doughy in the centre. The Calamari was OK but nothing special (no lemon). Finally the biggest disappointment was the fish and chips (supposed to be their specialty). The fish was not properly cooked (still soggy on the bottom and very oily), the chips were also... More

I was a little disappointed with our dinner at Fish Tales. Do get me wrong, it was definitely edible however the salmon I was deep fried but ultra greasy and the fries, well not crispy. We ordered fish and chips but could sub. coleslaw and overall I felt it was little expensive for dinner for two. I had eaten here... More

Service was good and pleasant, but certain menu items not available. Food was average and we found better options. Offensive poem on display on wall making light of alcohol abuse. Bad taste.

Very attractive little cafe with tables outside in the yard. There are bunnies in the garden too! Food was good and the chef even accommodated our vegan by whipping up a curry for her. Staff is friendly and we paid $45 for 1 piece of halibut and fries, the curry and one beer. Not unreasonable as halibut is very expensive.

I was recently at qualicum beach with friends and although being a little disappointed with the resort, We decided to go and perk ourselves up by heading to the beautiful gardens at fish tales for a cold beer and fish and chips. Our day completely picked up when the super friendly owners came out and spoke to us for a... More

The food was just o.k. Not worth the price we paid. And the bill was incorrect when we received it they had added extra drinks.

We stayed in Qualicum Beach one night and Fish Tales was recommended for our evening meal. Firstly, the fish we had was very good but was very pricey - 73$CA for two main courses, a small glass of wine and a beer. The main comment we have on this restaurant is the really awful decor and music. If you are... More

I've been delighted to visit this restaurant for many years now and am always very happy with my dinner. I wish I would try some of the other fare to give a broader recommendation but I think halibut & chips for well over a decade without fail is a pretty strong recommendation! Great service, light crispy batter, served with a... More

While other places around charge you a lot for some junk food, this is more a family restaurant at affordable prices. Clam chowder soup was awesome and salmon fish & chips really tasty. If you look for something authentic, I definitely recommend.
