I felt a bit sad for this restaurant when we were there recently. The décor is old and dated. We aren't still in the 1980's. The food was not especially good, we have enjoyed our fish and chips much more at Ship & Shore, Deep Bay, and at the Union Bay Pub in Union Bay. We like crisp and crunchy... More

Love the atmosphere in this cozy little restaurant. My husband and I cannot eat gluten so don't have the deep fried fish but they have a gluten free coating for their pan fried fish which is delicious. The new owners are very friendly and being English myself I do appreciate their sense of humour.

The $12 all-you-can-eat fish and chips was a good deal. Some entrees were pricy. We liked the style of the building and the pleasant location - especially when it's sunny and you can sit outside on the lawns.

Walked to Fish Tales from our condo for fish & chips all you can eat lunch special. Average tasting meal. Was shocked at prices on the menu for meals other than the special we had for $13.00... Check in menu out online before going, be prepared for average food and tired deco.

I asked for crispy oysters, they arrived soggy, I had to take the plate back to the kitchen myself. The plate came back, looking the same, can only guess it was put into the micro, not improved! Overpriced, awful food served in squalid decor.

A cute restaurant on the side of the road. We saw the all you can eat sign, and normally we aren't the type to do all you can eat, but we rarely see that offered for fish and chips so we decided to check it out. Service was exceptional - very friendly and quick, and making sure everything was to... More

A charming restaurant- we ate on the lawn and had it mostly to ourselves except the 2 cute rabbits dining on the lawn just a few feet away:) Food and service were good but the best part was eating outside on a beautiful evening- nice music, etc. We had Halibut fish and chips-large piece of fish, tempura type breading- good... We were very disappointed in the fish and chips. The description said the plate included Coleslaw, but there was only about 2 Tbsp on the plate. The coating on the fish was saturated with grease and we could not eat it. The prices were very high - for what we paid, we expected that it should have been amazing, but... More

The make-your-own dinner turned out to be more expensive than I expected, which would have been fine if the food was good. Instead, the grilled, or it might have been broiled, halibut was overcooked and the Greek salad had absolutely no taste before the waiter brought some dressing upon request for oil and vinegar. Being open late was a plus,... More

We visited Fish Tales for lunch as we had heard lots of great things about it. It was a beautiful sunny day so we elected to sit outside but were disappointed by all the traffic noise (maybe we should have known better...?). We found the service poor as we waited more than 15 minutes to order and then even longer... More
