Great for Lunch…all you can eat fish and chips.

We have been regulars at lunch. The all you can eat fish and chips is very good. Rarely do we have more than the first serving or maybe split one fish. I don't care for fries, so I have no comment about that and I am happy that now they offer salad instead. Nice to sit outside in summer as... read more

I ordered one of the specials for diner, Link Cod and prawns with a light rosé sauce. Well prepared for both, though slightly overcooked, and boiled vegetable. I'm unfortunately not in boiled brocoli, cauliflower or carrots. Some are. Their fish and chips seem more in tune with their specialty. I unfortunately did not try them. Maybe another time.

This smallish restaurant is set in attractive grounds and is known locally for its seafood meals. We had a "nice" meal, served by a very pleasant lady - one the evening special (quite good but pricey for what I got) and my wife (the fish and chip connoisseur) had the all you can eat f&c's and said it was two... We were so impressed with the old English pub style restaurant and the lunch. We had the all you can eat fish and chips and were very satisfied with the portion and didn't need another plate! The staff was helpful and friendly and we loved the atmosphere. Not plastic or artificial, just pure classic. For those who haven't been to... More

We were looking for a good seafood place and Fish Tales seemed like a likely place! Nice looking surroundings. We settled in at the table of choice. We were the only guests but the server and the chef greeted us and we had some conversation and some good laughs. Unfortunately the time of year (Jan) was not conducive to good... More

I ate here today for the first and last time. Pros: nice setting, pleasant hostess. Cons: overpriced for 2 piece halibut at $30... give me a break!; grease filled batter with I don't know what human hair stuck in it. Glasses that were not clean (pink lipstick) , I let the hostess know and she looked shocked! ; carpets and... More

What was once under previous ownership a very nice restaurant is now a disappointment. Last time we ate there the food was not nearly as good as in the past & the service not exactly great.
