On the occasion of our 60th wedding anniversary we were treated by family to a dinner at Butlers at the Mansion. It was a most memorable and enjoyable event. Other patrons have commented on the opulent setting and fine food, and to that we would like to add our appreciation of the restaurant staff. The pleasant and cheerful receptionist, waitresses,... Elegance ..fine dining...fine ambiance ...fine.location. Beautifully restored Victorian mansion, overlooking the beautifully maintained Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Course....ideal setting for fine cuisine. Returned with guests who requested Butlers, again. The integrity of the restaurant is class : first class : all the way !

A couple of friends invited me to meet them for dinner at the Crown Mansion dining room tonight. We were all so impressed with everything: the ambience, the wonderful service and the absolutely incredible food. It was worth every penny. My friend said that she had never had scallops that good - they melted in her mouth. The risotto was... More

Went there for brunch and the restaurant was about one quarter full. The atmosphere is pleasantly upscale but the service and food detracted from it. It took an hour to be served a simple breakfast and when the food finally came, it was not of a quality or presentation one might expect from the atmosphere and the price. My dish... More

This is a nice out of the way little restaurant that took me about fifteen months to discover after moving to the area. The quick-and-dirty is great food, great service. What more do you want? Well, it is disturbing to me that the chef personally elected to spell cioppino as choipino, as, unbeknownst to me and to the entire educated... More

Group in for birthday celebration. Ordered Fraser Valley Duck Breast ($36.00). I have never seen a duck breast that tiny. Another order was chicken breast, same tiny size. Shank of lamb without mint sauce. Mussels were also very small. Service was good but I would not recommend this restaurant.

I'm from New York and I was here last year. The food was amazing, and was introduced to the chef which doesn't happen often, but what a great rapport. This visit, however, was uneventful and the food was lacking in flavour. Will not recommend, and will not be coming back. I would like to know where the past chef has... More
