Chose this resto because of the great reviews. It is definitely different!

We went out of our way to eat here. It's a trendy little place, so don't show up expecting fine dining or regular menus. But what we had was good. The fried rice dish with pukled meats of varying descriptions were good - although one of those meals arrived with no ham. This was rectified with... read more

This restaurant came highly recommended ;unfortunately we may have dined on an off night. The lamb dish on the menu was not available so I went with the pulled pork which was plentiful but very, very dry. The accompanying fried rice was only partially cooked. The chocolate cake, however, was terrific. So maybe the key is to just order dessert.

I see why this quaint restaurant had great reviews online. In the heart of the town. Their wrap melted in my mouth. Fresh salad and grilled veggies accompanied the meal for $15 at lunch time.

Thanks to TripAdvisor I found this lovely place. The restaurant is well placed at the end of the main street. Easy to park. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet as a "bistro". The crew is friendly and professional. The food is original and taste good. The price are reasonable. I love this restaurant because it matches all my expectations.... More

This little gem tucked away in the heart of Rivière du Loup on the south shore of the "Belle Province" is stunning. The staff, atmosphere and menu couldn't be improved on. One of my very few 5 star reviews. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, great recommendations and welcoming demeanour. Don't worry if your French isn't great, you'll be assisted with... More

My husband and I read the reviews for restaurants in Riviere du lo up and headed into town. We found L'estaminet first but it was very crowded and we were told it would be an hour long wait. As we were leaving a local stopped us and asked if he could recommend a restaurant. He directed us to Cafe L'Innocent.... More

Awesome place to eat. No steaks or ribs but healthy choices, gluten free meals or vegan. Portions are generous and very tasty. Service was great, we don't speak French but the server was very happy to explain all of the menu choices. $60.cdn for the two of us which include wine and a beer from a local micro brewery. The... We stopped by on our way to New Brunswick. Each of us ordered a different sandwich with soup and dessert. Everything was excellent, and I particularly liked the mix of grilled vegetables with our salad. My two-and-a-half year-old wanted to walk around, and we stumbled through a side entrance where some people were painting a brick wall. The staff was... More

Just came for an overnight stay passing through on a drive to Halifax. Saw this recommended on Yelp. Went for dinner and had a great local craft beer and a delicious lamb crepe. Would totally go back. Our fave restaurants in Riviere du Loup are this one and L'Estaminet. Staff totally friendly. Atmosphere so welcoming and unique. Really a beautiful... More

On a road trip from Montreal to Dalhousie NB, Rivière-du-Loup presented itself as the half way point and destination for lunch. I can say without Trip Advisor or our GPS TomTom we would not have found this place, which would have been our loss. Cafe I'nnocent is a wonderful little independent you hope exists in every little town, an independent... More
