We were planning on eating at the Harbour Front Restaurant after a whale watching tour at 8:45pm but once we arrived, we were made to feel like a nuisance and inconvenience. We decided to leave and stumbled upon the Lobster Bay. Hesitant at first but what a pleasant surprise. A little misleading from the outside as well as some of... More

Friendly and warm service, the best we've had in this town. Fish and chips were amazing!! Beer was cold, just great all around!

My family went there last weekend while on a trip to St. Andrews. The staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the fish & chips. The prices are reasonable and the kids enjoyed their lunch as well and they had a great time colouring from the books provided for them. Overall, a good spot for a quick lunch.

My wife and I dropped in to Lobster Bay after originally planning to eat at Gables (which was packed) across the street. We were pleasantly surprised. Lobster Bay was a quaint little Maritime spot with a restaurant section on the right and a bar section on the left. The place was not big but open and had a nice atmosphere... More

Well the staff was great very friendly and welcoming. Food was just okay though. Found things a bit pricey for the quality. I ordered a poutine with chicken. I got fries with gravy and shredded cheese blend that melted right into the gravy within a minute or two and the chicken was chopped up pieces of the same breaded chicken... More

This was the beginning of our trip and we stopped one night in St. Andrews. The motel owner recommended Lobster Bay. The food was very good. I had the seafood chowder and loved it. The best part was the owner and the folks who worked there. We felt like friends by the time we left. They told us all about... More

We went to Lobster Bay twice during our stay in St Andrews-both times to watch World Cup matches. On both visits we had very friendly and attentive servers. I am vegan, and the staff were accommodating with my orders. My husband had the fish and chips, which he loved. Friendly, comfortable atmosphere. We would go back!

My experience did not match the reviews I read. The meal and service were fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. I had a higher expectation and they delivered an average performance

Based on others reviews, I ordered the fish and chips with a beer even when the price was a little high. The dinner came out quickly, the fish was fresh and the portion was fine. However, the oil where the fish and fries were cooked should have been changed long ago. My wife also ordered a chocolate bread pudding listed... More

Fantastic service and lovely food for a very reasonable price. I had the soup of the day, which was chilli beef, with a grilled cheese sandwich and my boyfriend had the hamburger platter. Food was lovely and fresh - great value.
